I caught the final stage. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed at a race broadcast this much. Between the Herculean effort to removed that lug nut on the 43, to Harvick randomly spinning (often), all the left rear failures in spite of Goodyear telling teams to stop running such low PSI (told teams to go up 2psi on left rear to not risk failures), the tow truck getting stuck in the infield, Larson popping the wall 5-6 times and then saying Busch doored him into the wall. Always happy to see Kurt Busch win one!

 

It was an epic shit show. I might have missed it as I was working on stuff in the garage but I believe it was the 5 spotter who called out the 45 dooring them and Larson corrected him and said it was clean. It was actually nice to see the car that deserved the win get one.

 

What is absolutely crazy to me is seeing how bound up the suspension is on these cars. I mean you have a tire with a 2" sidewall and the right rear goes flat and that raises the left front off the ground. I mean at this point we really have to call it what it is and these new cars are just huge go karts. I am still not sold on this car and I know it is the future and they will never go back but they should have kept a solid rear axle and the the smaller 5 lug wheel and the traditional gearbox. I know a lot of people will say but it so far from a stock car but these cars look like spaceships running around the track. Almost cartoonish and not attractive in my opinion.

All of the body lines are so out of proportion I just hate the way they look.

Did you all see Kyle B when he came to Kurt's car when he was making out with Denny? Kyle came over and was asking Kurt if he needed him to wait to give him a ride home and Denny and Kurt thought he came over to congratulate him. It sounded like Kyle said, "yeah that too but do I need to wait" then Denny said he had him. Cracked me up.

I saw him dump water on Kurt and say congrats bro. Didn't hear the rest. Funny thing is when Jamie was trying to interview Denny, Kyle hung around a split second thinking she might ask him something too. Got a kick out of that.
