Finished up my spring landscaping projects and I was itchin' it get out. Especially after seeing @bot102 's post with @Littles and @YamaDirtrider.
My neighbor went to Sand Hollow in Utah about a month ago and decided 35's are not enough. So he just bought another 2016 JK with tons and 40's. This one was built by Nate and Kevin who run epic4x4quest.com, a nonprofit organization that helps law enforcement members and their family. He texted me this afternoon and asked if there was somewhere close to do a shakedown run and be back in time for dinner with the kids. I texted back, Yep. There is a little rock playground not too far from home on Daker (FS 563). The gate is open now.

Oops. 32's don't provide quite enough clearance for that first rock slab. Armor is good. :cookiemonster:

We made it back in time for dinner.

That's complete B.S! Anything left in a campsite, certainly a table and fire pit would signify the spot has been taken. Especially around the weekend. I can't believe they had the nerve to poach your spot like that.

On the traction board subject - we're you camped in an area with a lot of ATV/razor traffic?

was camping this weekend, not that surprised to see some of the disparaging camp tales of the previous posts.\
Who the fuck just roams up and claims a campsite that is obviously occupied?

    I'll bitch about that later.
    but for now..
    took the new cooler camping.

at first i thought it was too big, then I thought it might be too small. turn out it just right for a dude and his dog.

the first 38 hours were great, we were alone and had the place to ourselves.
    rant to come later.

Like for getting out. Unlike for incoming rant.

I used to think that my 50quart fridge was too big for two people, but we end up pre-making a lot of “fancy” food and reheating leftovers, having fresh veggies/fruit, and not constantly reloading the fridge to have cold beer/pre-mixed cocktails.

apparently the current fire ban means nothing to the subaru crowd. Those fucking entitled bastards all ahd a fire. never mind all the vibrant yellow signs that said "NO CAMPFIRES" with the circle and slash thru it.
Including the pricks who posted up 30 feet away from me in a not a campsite. I may have been a bit drunk and popped off with a classic Chandler style "could you be anymore irresponsible" There may have been a few other comments, but repeating those will get me banned.
and i really can't rant anymore about that. :D
Go camp now, that shit will be on fire next month.

So I need to up my battery game now. The solar game is on par, keeps way ahead of the fridge in the daylight hours, but not so much in the dark hours with major appliances now being run on electric. the new LiPo offerings are intriguing, but of course they have their own idea of battery dimensions which don't fit my space requirements. plus the cost. after weighing the cost vs benefits, prolly gonna add a second AGM battery and hopefuly call it a day.

lmao I just went from a 56L fridge to a 95L I bought off @NYCO and this thing is so overkill for one dude it's stupid but it's pretty rad. Now I can open up a trailside bar.

I want a dual zone, but I don’t want bigger. Not with a short bed at least.
