Im one of the most indecisive people in the world. It takes me hours to go clothes shopping and even an excessive amount of time deciding what to order when I go out to eat. I've wanted a tacoma for years and I finally got my 2009 AC TRD O/R 3 months ago. My problem is I got the access cab and I already wish I'd bought the double cab :( (however I wouldnt be surprised if I had bought the DC and wished id got the AC, thats me). I absolutely love everything else about the truck, its got everything I wanted - the TRD O/R package, but I cant help but stare at it sometimes and wish it had a functional back seat. It came down to the fact that I like how the AC looks more like a truck (IMO) than the DC. And the DC LB wasnt an option as parking spots in the NYC area are no fun with something that long. I dont really know why Im writing this other than just to vent but maybe you other AC guys can say something that'll make me feel better about my purchase. Thanks for reading.

I like the looks of the access cab better but i like the extra room more of the DC. I traded my 06 ac for an 06 DC this year so i know you dilema. I might be having a kid soon so it is easier going in and out of the back of a DC.

Exactly...I also didn't buy the DB cuz I'm not in the market to transport people around...except I don't mind a female in the front seat with me..

i love my access cab i hate the double cab not gonna lie haha and when you remove those rear headrests you will love it even more because with that gone you can fit a car seat back there and still have room in the front for the person, they are great looking trucks and get better gas mileage then the dc's so ive heard.

so you and all your buddies could be chillin' at your place and then they say "Hey, let's go get some Arby's sandwiches. They have 5 for $5.95." Then all 5 of you pile into an Access Cab? Now I get it.

nooo....the heat of the moment would work better for a DC, not AC.

I love my access cab. None of my friends really complain about riding back there. And when I run outta room people usually just jump in the bed (only for short rides). Everytime I go somewhere I'm always one of the people driving. We have fun in my truck,

i like the looks of my access cab better than the DC trucks but sometimes i really wish i had the bigger cab for both passengers, storage, and even the extra room for stereo components. Like you, the DC LB wasnt really an option because of the extra length, but i really need the full size bed. thats what ultimately set me on the AC over the DC.

The Access cab is slightly heavier than the DC Short bed according to the spec sheet. Don't know why that would be true:

Sometimes I ask myself questions like, "should I have got the DC, should I have got the auto". But at the end of every day, I park my pride & joy in the driveway, take a quick glance, and realize why I love this truck. Double cabs are nice, and more practical. But, for the practical side of my life, the wifey drives a 7 seater Trailblazer EXT. Well thats until I convince her to Get in a 2009 DC TACO:D:D:D...

    AC SWB Manual FTW...
