i didn't know that they made 2nd gen pros in MGM without the entune headunit. Oddly optioned truck. Quite pricey for a 10yr old truck with 100,000 miles.

I *think* the 2nd gen Pros had regular suspension, just fancy wheels and stuff like that.
Yup, I was wondering the same. About headunit and color

You can probably pull off a new 4 banger for that price nowadays. When I bought a few years ago, I wanted the V6 so the minimum for that was about 29.5 I think, in the base trim model.

If I wanted a 2012 Pro, probably worth 26k. If I wanted “an” truck, I’d go grab a steelie 4 banger and rip it up.

Gotta be close at least, my single cab 4 was $17K in 2012..3 years old but under 7K miles

    You piqued my interest.

    2WD base model 4 banger, 27k.
    4WD 30k and change.

    4WD V6 a hair under 33k.

Generalizing without having driven a 3G of course but the 4 probably is enough for what I'd be doing since I wouldn't care about 4x4. I didn't hate the V6 in the Nissan Frontier rental I had last year but the MPG was a decent bit less than usual for my driving

Frontier is “known” for it’s piss poor MPG until the new drivetrain got dropped in.

The 4 banger IS enough, and honestly I almost went with it. Now that I set up my camping setup, I’m glad I didn’t. I use the full cab for that. Other than sleeping though, I’d be fine with a single/twin/whatever the F they call it.

The one I had was a 19 or 20, I want to say 19 but not positive. DCSB so I get why it had the v6.

True. Not sure on color but the TX pro was different from the trd pro though but by much
They had fancy suspension. Basically 6112s and 5160s with trd marking non adjustable and red coils

The Baja had the suspension. TX pro just has off-road suspension. They had pro wheels and trd exhaust and decals.

Did it have 9 speeds or 5? Easiest way to tell

I THINK push button was also a way to tell, but I'm not sure if the older ones had push button too at all. I don't think they did, but could be wrong, some may have.

4 or 5, but definitely not 9. Just a regular floor shifter, not push button

Yeah that would have been I think 2019 was the last year they did that, then in 2020 they moved to the new drivetrain, 2021 new body - or might be up another year. I was looking at them when I bought mine a couple years back too.

They’re not good MPG, BUT they’re a lot cheaper, so that 1-2MPG difference takes like 10 years to make up in gas price differences. And it drives like a normal 5 speed AT, not a Tacoma turd gen 6 speed bi-polar AT
