What a Monday it is. Snapped the top crossbeam of one machine in half this morning. Four metric tons of pressure on each saw under there.... needless to say I dropped the tension right quick and repairs are on going. 571B9EF6-CD05-4AA9-9985-2C31B5A0A2CC.jpg

The successor manufacturer should be able to build it lighter, better, faster (Like the "Million Dollar Man" of the old TV series) so it's more efficient with the juice. The Bollinger B1 looks a lot like a Scout... designed for an upstate NY farm's utility by engineers and machinists that enjoy testing it in the deserts west of the Mississippi River. It was built from the beginning as a production prototype, so it just needed a little tweaking once it went to the manufacturer. https://bollingermotors.com/about-us/ Sounds like they've shifted to medium duty (commercial) trucks, as the B1 was priced about the same as the new Lexus LX600 ($125k)
The ICE Internal Combustion Engine will be around a bit longer, continually improved to squeeze more oomph out of our Tacos' sauce...

Possible severe storm here tonight with hail.
So I don’t mess with that shit. The boat gets sacrificed for the vehicles.

Tried a new way to load the geerarge..

So far I like it. Easier to get in and out of the cars..

Takes a little more time but that’s ok..

Happy Monday ya'll. Beautiful weekend in Hoosier National Forest, a specific area that was new to me. Really enjoyed it, despite a real good storm on Saturday night that knocked out the power to all the RV's. He he. We just kept going, steaks an shrimp over an open fire, since as tenters, electric isn't a thing anyway. There were some upset folks, what with no AC,TV or fridge. What has happened to 'camping'?

Heard someone mention Grumman a page or two back. My Dad bought this new in '73, complete with the Grumman designed sail rig. We still get it in the water every year. All five great lakes, 27 states, countless rivers, two countries, and the Atlantic. Probably be lucky to get 400.00 for it. I consider it priceless, as you might imagine

Napa. They open the back door and point at a large tank and let me dump it in there.

I have someone who works on a farm and they use it to coat their equipment, or something like that. Backup is there's a small one man auto shop that heats with used oil.

@Plain Jane Taco heres my other stock rig... just rescued it from under the porch at my parents place. It's probably almost as old as me, hasn't had a tuneup since new I'd wager, and just killed my front lawn with what's left of the blades. The County Refuse Transfer Station accepts used oil at their Hazardous Waste facility. "Used" oil isn't considered "hazardous waste" until you call it "waste oil"... Every auto parts place seems to accept the used stuff since they sell new.

I like the rear post support! Reminds me of the transom clamp for the Grumman Sportboat (18 or 20' freighter that Grumman lopped at 15' to add a transom to) that we'd slide up the post on the back bumper of the new '70 Travelall, lift the bow and walk the boat around to strap it to the roof rack. There was enough room to put my '71 15' Grumman Standard canoe on the rack, too.
+++ I suppose you made me think to revisit the boat manufacturer's website: https://marathonboat.com/ I called them several years ago for replacement oarlock bushings, and they're happy to visit. Thanks!
