    Hey DreamWeaver!

Are you Caesar Rodney or Dover HS grad? Or maybe one of the other HS'?

My adult kids graduated from CR.

    Middletown, eh?

It's all flatland here in Delaware. You gotta know the locals who can direct to off-roading places.

Love the blue...and the solid rear taillights...I have lens on my 2021 Sport.

    Your wheels are different too!

    No steps?

What else you got on your Sport?

Actually a Lake Forrest grad, but went to CR on the base until HS. Appreciate the compliments! The wheels are stock and so are the taillights actually. I don’t have side steps yet, i figure might as well spend the extra money on rock sliders in the future, but i can get into and out without a step just fine.. until i add a lift that is. The rest of the truck is stock as far as i’m aware. i’m the second owner so i’m not sure what the guy before me did but from research and whatnot it seems pretty stock other than the stuff on the bed.

CR on the base? On Dover AFB? Interesting.

I like the solid look of the OEM tail lights.

That's cool about waiting for the heavier/sturdier rock sliders. I bought mine for some level of protection with parking.

    Yup, that it does.

It's got a nice look with the bed frame and attachments.

    LUCKY!!!

That's terrific you got a ride. I'm surprised you can identify your truck where you parked...it would be tough for me! lol

I've been to so many Air Shows I'll just watch from my home which must be a flight pattern because they sometimes fly over our home on the regular!

    Some venues:
Williams AFB, Arizona was my first Air Show. Got to see T-37s/T-38s/F-5s on the regular.
RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom would have annual Air Shows from 1990-93 that I would work Food Booths.
Dyess AFB, Texas had several while I was there from 1993-99.
Hickam had great 4th of July Celebrations during 1999-2003.
Dover has a Museum and of course does Air Shows from time to time.

    Thanks for the reply!

Aloha & Welcome to the Delaware Ohana...even though there's not much activity! lol

Are you working on the base?

I ask because I'm from SoCal/LA and the USAF sent me here from Ramstein, Germany. Okay, it was my third choice on the EQUAL list so I can't complain.

    See you around.

    What's your AFSC?

Are you stuck on a specific frame/aircraft?

I've heard that it limits your PCS locations.

I worked Logistics and had some great assignments.

    I won't tell you I had back-to-back HQs assignments...PACAF & USAFE.

    You can't Fly without Supply!

    HUA!!!

Yeah, that's an Army term but the Air Force was born from them.

    You're fortunate.

Some guys are stuck on C-5s and C-17s and can only got to Travis or Dover...or wherever there are Heavies.

I’m on a business trip in Denver and MAN is the Tacoma scene here crazy! Unfortunately my rental car is a Chevy Spark and not my truck so I feel super left out, but man are there some nice rigs here! Seems like the perfect place to have a Tacoma too

    That's too funny!

You feel left out? I see enough Tacoma(s) here in Dover and in our 3 little counties.

I also see plenty of *BATs that have a tendency to blast-launch their trucks from traffic lights. Mustangs & Corvettes are also guilty of the same action as are smaller coupes with noisy exhausts.

There's a time and place for that...it's just annoying and probably startles people as well as pets trying to enjoy their drive.

Other than the plentiful Tacoma(s) roaming the street, what else have you noticed about Denver?

I went to Supply Tech School at Lowry AFB in May of 1986.

Our class was one of the last ones to have funded Tech School...after us, recruits completing basic training were sent DD (Direct Duty) to their first duty station.

I just remember visiting the big Mall in Denver. I don't remember being allowed to go to very many places...plus we were only there for 4 weeks.

    *BAT=Big A$$ Truck

I hate those trucks that have the rubber band tires and chrome wheels with huge offset, it looks terrible to me and also impractical (i’ve also heard the rims crack a lot), but that’s just my opinion. It’s my first time out here in Denver so it’s a completely different world than Delaware, and honestly I love it a lot more from what I’ve seen. Just for tacomas I’ve seen a lot of different setups that give me some inspiration and ideas, like at Rocky Mountain National Park yesterday I saw a nice Pro with the TRD rims and KO2 tires, i like that a lot and might have to do that on mine, not a huge fan of the stock tires honestly.

There are trucks that look ridiculous but the owners went through a thought process to do what they did.

Even if I don't like it...impractical or not...it's their choice and their pride and joy. They soon disappear into traffic and I go back to my regular driving.

As for the TRD rims and K02s, I do like them too. I won't consider new tires purchase until I put at least 40-50K miles on my OEMs.

Even then, I may consider keeping the OEM rims since they look good with those type tires.
