    I have mine, never installed. It seems unlikely that I get around to doing this anytime soon. But I think it would be nice to try it out and see how well it works. I still have some hope that happens someday. Just barely treading water lately.

    be sure to read this thread, he and others mentioned it may not work well with Pioneer hu's. I have Kenwood and was going to give it a try but...

    I have this adapter installed with Pioneer AVIC-W6600NEX in my 2019 DCSB OR and I’m using wireless CarPlay.
    The only problem is the call quality on the other end (who I’m talking to) sometimes can hear an echo or road noise. they can still hear you but could be annoying for them. I read somewhere that it’s a CarPlay problem. Heck, I’ve experienced this on the OE head unit! Some Android Auto users may not be experiencing this.

    The text to speech works really well and the pioneer mic is gone. In the end I’m satisfied with this adapter. If you want, PM me so we can chat over the phone while I’m driving so you can hear the call quality.
    :cheers::cheers:

    It’s my understanding the adapter does not will work well in a pioneer or with a pioneer head unit

    I’ll be installing this in a new 10.1 Kenwood Head Unit, I will provide an update upon completion, which is still a few weeks out

    Installed the Tombit and Kenwood Head Unit, the Tombit works perfectly for those wondering. It's disappointing to see the company seems to be out of the product, but thanks to a forum member I was able to pick one up for my Tacoma Head unit installation upgrade.

    I am really surprised a company like iDatalink Maestro hasn't figured out this factory microphone solution, or purchased the technology from Tombit to utilize in their kits?

    Awesome! It’s really a bummer that this isn’t working well for anyone with Pioneer HU such as myself…call quality with Apple CarPlay isn’t clear. Even after all the troubleshooting. I’m just glad to get rid of the stinking “mic”.

    Please post a pic of your HU? TIA

    Were you able to use our GPS antenna by using an adapter? Do you have a short cut button programed for front/rear cam on the steering buttons?

    Not sure if these questions are directed to me, I used the Maestro GPS antenna adapter, as well as the Sirus XM adapter, and the XM module all work perfectly. I do not have a front camera as of yet...

    The only thing that is not truly configurable on the head unit is the dimmer illumination...Kenwood's illumination is either the lights are On or Off for dimming, I like driving with the daytime lights and RIGID fog lights on, which means I drive pretty much all the time with the lights in the on position. It is not a major issue as the illumination adjustment on the screen is pretty quick and easy when I drive at night.

    Update, noticing a lot of static on the receiver end of phone calls thru Apple Car Play, will need to pull the head unit back out to ensure I didn't pull anything loose during the installation. Will likely try the Kenwood Microphone to see if it eliminates the static issue on phone calls.

    Wish they made a dash kit for that one like they did for the Stinger Heigh10. I might have gone with that one. I opted to use the built in mic on the head unit itself. I've made a few calls and the other side can't tell that I'm in the truck at all.
