The missus shared a video with me over the weekend of one those Lake Tahoe squirrels smashing a garage window and crawling in

Do you locals just put up with the fact your're living in their habitat? Or are there a percentage of Karens hell bent on ridding the neighborhood like the LA Karens trying to kill off all the Coyotes

Yes my 3rz had that issue, but it was because the PO had used, what looked like, an entire tube of permatex on the head to keep the gasket flat. Had to have to block hot tanked cause permatex filled all the cooling passages and oil galleys :bananadead:

Yikes. Yeah I remembered yours being an ordeal. Hopefully this is just a quick trip to the machine shop with the head that has corrosion. At least I know I’ll be the first person that deep into my motor.

Most of the Karen's in Tahoe are for the bears and wild life. It the tourist all the locals hate. I don't get that because that's how we pay our bills.

I love having wildlife around. All except the trash pandas.

I think you'll be alright, you're catching it early enough at least it's not leaking into your oil or into a cyl. Probably be able to just get the head and deck surfaced. My coworker had a similar leak to yours on his 3.4 in his 3G4R and he didn't even get the block surfaced lol, just slapped a new aftermarket head on with gasket lol. No leaks for him a year or two later

The squirrels at the community college I went to were all addicted to nicotine from picking up people's cigarette butts, those bastards would get aggressive if they needed a fix

The ones on my college campus were all friendly because they knew they would get food, they'd come up and sit around you and hang out until you tossed em something. Looked like you were lecturing about nuts of some shit if you got enough of them

They just wanna bite the hand that feeds em I guess lol. I'm looking forward to being back in an area with a higher bear population, I've got pictures of black bears coming into my great uncles kitchen and eating bread with them at the table.

every once in awhile there's an attack on a kid and everyone goes crazy. Most recently a coyote attacked a little girl on a beach (of all places) and the media frenzy was nuts over it.

We'll have to double check with @eon_blue but I'm fairly certain he was talking about how upset residents were over having to deal with coyotes in their neighborhoods

Around here the coyotes aren't very brave, approaching a human is nearly unheard of. They're content to hang out in the fields and trees though, we're not so grossly over developed I guess.

we have a FB page dedicated to coyote spotting lol. People here are afraid of them because they'll go after loose or unattended pets but that's nothing new. But yeah there's not much love for coyotes I'm afraid.

Bears are another thing entirely, we get a lot of black bears in our area being in the foothills and everyone is uber protective of them. This time of year they come down into the neighborhoods to chill in people's pools
