@Toyko Joe I haven't had the energy to take it back in.

To be honest, my first child is due in 10 weeks and I think I'm going to chalk this up to a lost cause and sell it back to the dealer. I don't want to be dealing with this issue when I need my car to be more reliable for errands and whatnot.

I'm thinking about sending it back and getting a 2018/19
of similar status. I haven't really started the research yet. Any rumors about reliability of the 2018 models?

Turns out cars are too expensive right now to buy, so I went back to the drawing board. What an ordeal... it started happening more often, so I finally took it for a long drive and shut it off in the middle of the dealer servicing area so they had to push it out of the way. Then they finally admitted there was as problem. It took them six weeks, but they finally fixed something on the truck. Here's what their repair sheet says

During malfunction check voltage at starter solenoid and found it to be 0V checked for voltage at the junction connector J13 and J14, found 12V indicating good harness and resistance. Verified voltage going to park/neutral switch and coming from park/neutral switch. Physically jerked fuse box in engine bay area including relays and fuses, and was able to duplicate concern when moving starter circuit fuse AM2 NO.1. Removed fuse and found a loose connector at AM2 NO.1. Fuse causing intermittent no crank symptom. Recommended replacing fuse box.

    Hopefully this is all over

Great to hear that they got sorted! Hopefully the Taco rolls along happily for many years.
