I think the coil savers are different than how the seal savers for dirt bike front forks in how they secure, so probably OK, but they left me with notable cringe after they basically polished through the chrome on my front forks on my CR500. Admitted probably not cleaned as well or often as I should have and different in their installation than your application but remember to inspect and clean out as that is the type of thing that can lead to hiding other problems until they create worse problems than you were trying to prevent in the first place.

Wheels update:

Called the vendor for an update. Not sure if I spoke to the same person as last week. This guy seemed to know what the fuck is up though.

Wheels are getting picked up at the port next week and will ship shortly after that. It would be nice if they expedite shipping after being 2ish weeks late. Hell, depending on the pick up day, it would be awesome to have them by next weekend.

One can hope.

That's what interests me. Experiences not material things.

 

I think they have a line of no interest credit with the trucks that go around to shops. You pay them off slowly with a piece of your paycheck. Thats also assuming you stick with that career for years

 

Addressed some things on the truck tonight. Nothing crazy.

1) used my horn today, because idiots, and it sounded weak (hella supertones) so I knew immediately that it was either the relay or a spade connector on the horn.

Popped the hood, checked the relay. All good. It will need replacing soon due to corrosion but it works. Turns out the spade connector on the driver's horn was toasted. Spliced in a wired and tested. No luck. I had to cut back to the splice that ties into the passenger horn and run a longer wire to the driver's horn. Cleaned up the wire at the splice, got a clean connection and tested.

Works again. Awesome.

2) since I was in there, decided to dump the catch can.

Nothing special.

Finished out the night by mounting up my fishing rod holder for my bicycle.



I look forward to testing it out this week.

Hoping for a shipping notification for my wheels this week too.

I have the UPS app on my phone. Allows me to see some more details than just the web tracking. You can also pre-sign for packages, or divert them to a different address. Depending on the service that the shipper used, sometimes they have a map that follows the driver, similar to Amazon. Free to signup and use. I like it.
