Plastic bushing in my deck chair blew out.

Made some higher quality units with the help of the plasma table.

Welded them on and no more wobble.

Sitting the chair making this thread post .:drunk:

Those premade junction boxes make wiring much less painfull.

My first ever welds, MIG on a Miller Multimatic 215. Been watching welding videos for years now, finally took a private lesson to get up to speed and I plan to starting investing in equipment this summer. Lot's of build ideas...

Yeah, I know, they're a bit cold and I had too much WFS, but judging by the examples from other beginners in the shop and my instructor's general reaction, I'm alright. I'll take it.

At least you got some real hands on help.

I know the videos have come along way but my mind is still old fashion.

Your welds look great! For tenth welds let alone first one. Very wise to get a private lesson. It speeds up the process so much to have a (good) teacher right there to offer immediate pointers rather than watch 1,000 videos and trial and error. Stoked to see what you get to building. Welcome to the club :)

Junction box is handy for sure. Good thing it was handy because they got the colors all screwed up

In my book, brown is your running lights. Yellow is left flasher, green is right flasher.

Yes, the RV plug uses a different diagram.

I need to rewire my car trailer. Are you using a pre made harness to run to the axles/lights? Not trying to by all the different colors and do it myself lol

Just so you know, the wire diagram is embossed on the flip up lid of you truck plug.

The plug to junction box was premade. the rest of the wires, I just used wire I had laying around. I didn't know about 2 different wiring color schemes until @koditten schooled me just now. I also didn't bother with colors on the wire I ran, just paid attention to which went to which, not what was in between if that makes sense.

You can buy Trailer 7 conductor cable so many places I used to buy 500' rolls back in the day .

    It goes really fast .

You can not buy the 7 conductor cable for as cheap as you can buy the plug and junction box combination. I know, it blows my mind, too.

When your doing the Truck and the Trailer during a refurbishing job A plug and junction box is not much help.
