TB-FL have the worst schedule of the second round with back to back games Sunday and Monday at TB. No other teams have a back to back, WTF NHL??!!!

If the Canes get by the Rangers, I’ll be pulling for the lightning to beat the panthers in the battle for Flahda. This would give the Canes home ice advantage in the Conference finals.

Next year will be interesting. Malkin, Letang, Rust, Rakell, Rodriguez, Boyle, DeSmith and Domingue are all UFAs. Kapanen and Heinen are RFAs. Some are more important than others. I am sure a few will be signed, like, hopefully Rust. Not sure how I feel about Malkin and Letang returning though.

Well my picking hasn't been great but here goes:

TB power play killed Flada. Officials blew a no call on goal tender interference against TB on a challenge review, but didn’t matter in the end.

 

Canes looked disjointed periods 1&2 after three days off but came alive in the third to tie and then win 2-1 in OT.

 

14 goals scored with 11 minutes left in the third of the Oilers-Flames game. Defense took the day off I guess.
