    Took the truck in for an oil change and this 4Runner was getting inspected; Owner had this trailer hitch plate made from a gas pedal!

    Some information is not available anymore like maintenance reminders. Steering controls all work for new head unit.

    You learn something new everyday; My mechanic used this little tool to rapidly deflate my front tires so the truck was lower and thus easier to work on...

    I finally got around to measure the antenna on my Mustang. It's 31 inches unless you count the baseplate and threaded section then it's a little over 32.

    I hope you're joking; This thing just got a brand new frame. I don't want monthly payments, and I certainly don't want to buy a car in today's market; My mechanic flushed the power steering, and it works fine now. If my truck hadn't qualified for a frame replacement, I would have strongly considered selling it and buying something newer, but I refuse to bend over for greedy dealerships in this market!

    @ColoradoTJ

    You told me not too long ago that with all the blood, sweat, and money I've put into my truck along with the stuff I didn't have to pay for, that I'd be crazy to get rid of my truck...

    I also have no idea what else could possibly break; Aside from the fact the cruise control still doesn't work all the time, there's literally nothing wrong with the truck.

    Like I said, there's literally nothing wrong with it; One of my worries after the frame replacement was that the A/C wouldn't be put back together properly and I'd have to bring it back for service. I verified months ago that the A/C worked fine, it was really hot all weekend, and it worked fine. It's going to be in the 90s this Saturday, so that'll be the real test!

    Today...
    Most anything mechanical has the potential to break often seemingly without warning.

    The best way to keep problems away is with a good comprehensive maintenance plan, it sounds like the mechanic you work with is on the ball and does a good job for you.

    Stick with him and regular maintenance and you will be putting a 250,000 mile sticker on some day. :thumbsup:

    And also, my truck is insured; After the scrapyard incident I changed my policy so I have a $0 deductible for comprehensive claims and just $100 for collision claims. However, one reason I just can't bring myself to sell it is because of the memories. I have a great degree of sentimental attachment to my truck.
