    I was outside working on my friends mustang when i hear a truck speed by and hit my truck.. he cracked the mirror shell off the trucks mirror and speeds away.. i got in the truck with my 6'5" friend and went after him.

    We caught up with him about 1/4 mile away from my house and confronted him. he was def drunk.. wasted actually. he had no idea he hit it, it was his gfs car and hit the car next to him while backing in to his spot also. i told them i wouldnt call the cops (them being that close, they would probably key my truck or something) so i told them give me $40 and we'll call it even.

    And i just fucking color matched them too.

    yeah he drove away, and i really didnt want cops or insurance to get invovled for the safety of my house/truck.. but i see mirror for like 30 on ebay

    Yeah he learned nothing. Maybe next time it will be a little kid or something. That is unbelievable that you care more about getting your car keyed, than turning him in. I guess that 40.00 will make some parent feel better. How would you like that on your mind everyday knowing you could have turned him in today, and tomorrow he runs over some innocent kid. But hey you were compensated for your precious mirror.

    Really? Fuck him? I don't think you're in a position to be getting pissed at other people. That's just straight up irresponsible. The odds of him coming back to hurt your family are pretty slim compared to the odds of him killing someone on the road. What if he would hit and kill one of your family members because someone else didn't turn him in for 40 fucking dollars.

    I'm not sure what you're expecting when you post a thread telling people you let a drunk driver off the hook. Get your flame suit on.
