I bought my truck at the end of November and still haven't gotten the package. Is that normal? the dealer which provided the truck to my broker said it can take up to 3 months. That seems kind of strange considering many people would be at their first oil change in that span. I've checked many many times with my broker to see if the package went there and they haven't seen it. I've called the dealer and he just keeps saying to wait.

It's normal, you have nothing to worry about, the dealer should have all the info about your Auto Care, you can have it serviced without the book.

Call your dealer. Took mine in for first service. Just to find out it was cancelled. They got it corrected. I have my booklet now.

i have called them - that's what i was saying - i've called them multiple times and they just keep saying to wait. the dealership where the truck was pulled for my broker is across the state, and that is who i keep calling. my broker is on the case, but it looks like i don't even need the book.

it only covers tire rotations and oil changes. they set me up with the 10k 5W-20 oil. since they don't know which oil goes in my truck i don't think they'll be servicing it.

I'm not letting the dealership service my truck anyway.

A little of this and a little of that.
I bought my truck on 12/28/2010 and just received my book last Thursday, Feb. 10th.
You probably should have received yours, but like others have said, you're probably in the system to get things done. Good luck.

normally i wouldn't either...but truthfully i'll take what i can get with this considering there are a couple quality techs at the local dealership and they will allow you to use them instead of lube techs. i'm not going to turn down free oil changes and rotations unless there is a serious concern with hacks touching the truck. also, if i wanted i could bring them my redline oil and special filter but it just doesn't matter. when this is all said and done and my TC time is up, i'll get my oil analysis and run their intervals with my snake oil. maybe. i'm not overly concerned with this truck and the oil like i am with high performance engines.

i feel this way with the honda dealership too. i've known one of the prime techs since 1998 and would trust him with anything of mine. so, instead of dealing with the mess of changing the oil on the k20 in my wife's Si, i just have my wife take the car to him and pay the 25 dollars for no hassle. the honda oil analysis system is incredibly cost effective so the intervals end up being pretty long on whatever oil they use.

    thanks for the info guys.
