Light wheeling with 265/75/16.....

I finally got my 4th tire for my Taco. I have been buying them one at a time since they are so pricey. My Jeep/4x4 club is planning a trail ride which is relatively easy in march. I have done a lot of reading about the 265/75/16s and i know they work with the stock suspension but should i wait till after the ride to have em put on or just go ahead and do it?

 

What tires do you have now? And what tires did you buy?

Ugh...A/t's.... Mid as well mount them.

 

nothing wrong with A/T's if you do mostly street driving. I think M/T's on a street queen are way more stupid than A/T's on anything.

 

x2. I've got a friend who buys BFG M/T's everytime and his vehicle has been offroad twice. I on the other hand have A/T's and have had this truck offroading 3 times in the past three months.

 

Well I got the tires mounted last week and I love em so far. They rub a little on the fender flares at full lock so i am gonna get some 5100s for a remedy before i take the truck wheeling toward the end of March.

 

If you rubbing on paved roads your going to rub like hell off road if you just lift the front just a little you might be okay. I would lift it to where you like the look and trim off some plastic to clear the tires wile off road.

 

I have a set of 265 75 16 AT tires and love them. My last set was buckshot mudders that I put on it for some reason lol not sure why because I drive about 60 miles a day on the highway and do a little wheeling and hunting on the weekends.


But you say that your tires are rubbing your fender flares??? Thats weird unless your tires are just a little bigger then mine because the only time my tires ever rub is locked out and stuffed in the fender they will rub the frame a little bit.
