When I bought my Tacoma, I went with an auto. My next car will be a stick. I miss having a sports car with a proper gearbox.

My first job was doing decal on vehicles. A guy from the Chevy dealership needed a ride back so I said I'd pull one of our vans around. He said we could take his ride instead and handed me the keys. I assumed it would be a Tahoe.

It was a 1978 Corvette Indy 500 Pace Car.

I was actually relieved that it WASN'T a manual. Especially since it was January and there was snow and ice.

I’m scared to ask what needs to be done to this because I think I may know.

I wouldn't think so being stainless, I'm thinking custom rice burner maybe. The long side is bowed about 3/32 of an inch and there is no way to hold it.

Truck driver came by and had a mullet with a perm, why do they call it a perm if it only last 6 months? Shouldn't it be called a temp?

The gas job could have been a Ford Super Duty, top dog was a 534 cubic inch -- 8.8 liters for the metric folks.

With a heavy load on a steep grade they could just about get down in the gallons per mile range.
