I also had this problem in my Subaru and Ford. for me it was the cable. I was using Anker (which is known for quality) cables because I wanted the fabric look and color. I switched to Belkin and still had issues, finally, I plugged in the OE Apple cable and I have no more problems.

Did it work at solving the disconnecting issue?

'My' dealer didn't have them in stock, had to order them. I'll go pickup today, I'll inquire about returning them before leaving the dealership.

Towed the truck early this morning to my closest dealership 4 miles away. I drove the truck 2 miles to get water last night before realizing. Truck is okay and had about 4qts left. Got it drained and replaced and had them just do an oil change to drain all the oil since I did add another 6qts of clean oil to dirty oil that wasn’t drained last night. Luckily there were ‘coupons’ for both services and I’m in the hole $300 plus the $35 I wasted at auto zone buying oil and a filter. Not my most expensive mistake but also not my proudest moment lol at least the tow was “free” with my insurance plan.

No the factory bolts will be for sure too short. I saw somewhere else that someone ordered a bolt set for the TRD Skid plate from Toyota because he was ahving problems with the LOSTAR ones. Might have read it on AMZ review. He said it solved the issue and I thought I might be in the same boat.

Perhaps someone might have the instructions for the TRD Pro skid that they could upload for Lostar purchasers?

How much of a lift? I have the Sumo springs - they make a huge difference in both the squat and the ride when hauling a trailer. I have the TRD lift on mine and don't even know the springs (they're actually foam donuts) are there otherwise.

Have not tried an IPhone yet. That's probably my next course of action.

I had this issue before and after an ECU update, so not that.

I tried different cables. Even a new cable that plugs directly into the back of the headunit. Not that either.

Unfortunately it hasn't. Going to try messing with some Phone settings and apps next to see if there's some interference going on. Also going to try an IPhone with CarPlay to see if that also has issues, which if it does would suggest headunit as the source of the issue.

I would try another android phone (maybe a friends or family members). One other thing that might be worth trying is turning off WiFi and Bluetooth on the the phone just in case another device connected to the phone keeps trying to connect causing AA to disconnect. I realize you are using a wired connection, but anything is possible.

Nice! That's quite a whirlwind trip. We won't be in Edinburgh for a week or so. If you're interested and looking for something to do we just posted our write-up of our 3 week Ireland visit at roguewanderers.com

Oh man, I feel your pain. I did this to a Subaru Forrester my wife had on the first oil change after we bought it. Just rolled under it and drained the first plug I saw because I was in a hurry...

I got an message from VLEDS stating my order was back ordered so it gave me time to over think. I changed colors from blue to the aqua blue but now second guessing the Meso puddle pod add.

Do I need to buy the VLEDS breakout harness to use in place of the Meso harness for the pods or just the VLEDS puddle pod splitter?

I want to install the footwell lights and puddle pods together.

    thanks

Not as long as they stated on their website. About 2 weeks.

Some just see it as a truck, not the "Taco" we love.

You need to order the VLEDS splitter in order to use the footwell lights and the MESO puddle pods together

How did you fill it with new oil if you didn't take any out?

Edit: I read you added 6 qt. and it fit even with the old oil still in. Glad the truck is OK!!
