I had a similar incodent happen to me years ago. My truck was in the driveway, and this drunk fucker lost control of his car, and smashed into my truck. I called the cops, but they wouldnt come (said something about private property, or some BS like that). I told the Dude that He better give me all his info or I'd beat the ever living shit otta him. He did. I made a copy of his license, all his info, and he went on his way. I tailed his ass, while having 911 at the ready, and as soon as he hit the public streets, SEND! I told the cops that the guy was drunk, had hit me prior, and not only gave the description to the officers of the car, but followed right up until they pulled him. THEN, I parked about 50 feet away, got out of my truck, leaned against the bed, and watched with a BIG smile on my face.

Yall showed me i was wrong and i am making up for it, the officer on the phone says they were called for domestic disturbance, they had no idea about drunk driving. I can't believe they wouldn't come out because it was on private property! I would be furious, especially because he was drunk and they pretty much said let him go and we'll catch up if someone else calls. But well played

"So man you didnt want to be incovienced but what if that asshole drives off and kills somebody and you had the chance to stop it. You definatly made the wrong call on that one."

Should have read the post all the way through before I commented. Good job for calling it in. Get that dude off the streets.

Yea I've never heard of something so ridiculous. Sure his truck is on private property but the drunk driver came from the public street. Well played indeed though. I would have been pissed though and said that the next call they're going to get is the one reporting the fatal accident the guy just caused.

Yes, I hate drunk drivers. He should have been arrested. And speaking of the safety of your family what if he drove down the street and nailed one of you family members after you let him go...how would you feel?

Yeah, It was strange. I asked the operator "What if I kick his ass?", and the dude said, "well....we'll come then, but we'd have to take you in". It didnt make sense.

they tend to respond a little quiker when you tell them you're ready to handle the problem yourself......i've played this angle myself.
