Scott's Turfbuilder is an amazing product. Although, I needed almost three times the amount compared to the last place, at $65 a bag .

Scott's is good. But anymore you have to give a kidney to get it with the price of fertilizer. I've been using the Lowe's brand Sta-Green for a few years with good success

 

Yea I think I remember paying like $35 a bag only a couple years ago...

There's some alternatives a couple farmers suggested to me, just can't buy it direct, gotta hand them the money for it

 

Yeah....fertilizer prices are just going to keep increasing, I'm afraid

Mowed 1.5 of my 3.5 acres after work with a 27 yr old Dixon zero turn that I picked up on the side of the road with a “free” sign on it. 3rd season. All I’ve done is change the oil tighten some bolts and and keep it clean-ish.
No pics tho and now it’s dark.

 

Yeah, seems like we've tried that but maybe we'll try it again

Yeah, I'm just trying to figure out what will make me happy and pay decent which seems impossible without any experience...feel stuck in retail til I die. They'll probably even expect me to come in still after that

 

Let me know if I should look for the baler that attaches to the tractor. I'm known by the owner of our Kubota dealership and I'll ask him about the small hay baler for garden tractors. It makes the right size bales for feeding rabbits through the winter.
