Is there a decent procedure to get this thing off? It's looking like the only options are a cut-off wheel or a Sawzall. Not exactly precision. I can't rig anything in the press strong enough to break it free as there's not enough room between the race and backside of the hub.

I removed one, by making three cuts across the race, then heating the race. With a screwdriver, work the race off from the back of it. If you make the cuts just right, the race will slide off. Now, this is for 2nd gen, but procedure should be similar.

Cut line into it, chisel into a crack, hammer off.

Don't worry about knicking the hub race surface it's not imperative that it remains perfect.

Hubs are fairly cheap so I just went at it with the cutoff wheel. A little tapping on the pickle fork and it came off pretty easy. Barely nicked the hub so no harm done.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Good job I cut quite a few off over the years failed bearing it is pretty much a given it will be stuck.

oxy-fuel torch works as well to heat the race and pop it free
