when my Friend cleaned anything with a little mouse dirt got tossed so my back ups are gone.

Plus thousands in new parts.

I recall. I did not know why as well. I have missed his perspectives. They were very similar to mine.

I would love it if his presence was reinstated.

 

Alright, everything attached. Turns out a .223 casing makes for a nice bushing between the shaft and prop. Problem is, it rotates opposite of what I need. I’ll drill the bolt again tomorrow to reverse the prop. It’s fun to learn, right? The first test run in the pool shows this thing can move some water, just the wrong direction, for now.

I enlarged the "R" so I would not get jammed up for copywrite issues.
I have no idea if anyone cares, but I don't want to get credited for someone else's work if I did not put a little effort in the creation.

 

I like driving the oldies, for me a lot of the enjoyment is learning the "personality" of the machine, figuring out what I need to do to make it go smooth and easy.

I know compared to a modern truck they would be considered slow, awkward and spartan -- the same adjectives have been applied to me so I feel right at home.

I think inside a ladies mind is like a fun house: filled with dim flickering lights, mirrors that distort the image, stairways missing steps, hallways to nowhere, doors that open to solid walls -- kind of a builders version of hell...

 

Buddy in high school just bought a new car. He called me from the dealership to see if my dad and myself could come pick him up. Why? He bought a manual and didn't know how to drive it...

I just think that is his confidence showing.

He knows he can master a stick and is not afraid to enlist a bit of help.

He gets my respect.

 

I’ve always had motorcycles or 4-wheelers, this boat propulsion thing is new to me! Simple fix though, turn the prop over. And drill another hole.

My dad took me to a dealership and test drove a stick of the lot to a parking lot, we spent a hour learning how to drive that truck. Took it back and thanked them and he took me to the want ad for the truck I wanted. I laugh now at what he did. Looking forward to helping my daughter this next year get her learning permit.
