No, I missed the first one due and just kinda forgot.

It is but the dealer who sold us the car is only charging us for the engine. It was technically out of warranty, so we'll take it and, if it's done right, should be gtg...

Yes, it's plugging along! Took it to work today and had to ride into the wind the whole way home. There were a few times I couldn't get over 50 but 15hp + 200lb rider doesn't = high speeds.

Huge plus for the new job is that it's only a few hundred yards from my house, so will offset the 2k that went into my various gas tanks this past year!

Is that true for all of Colorado? making a note incase I move.

VA has emissions for cities, and state safety inspection for the whole state. But motorcycles dont have to get emissions at all. The safety inspection for motos is head/tail light, brake light, horn, and if the signals are there, they have to work. Also no leaks

Similar here in PA…along with those things they check tires, brake pads, and make sure fork seals aren’t leaking.

Canceled the order for the arrow exhaust. It was going to take 6 weeks for me to get it. So I ordered the leo vince lv10. Ships in 3 to 5 days as per revzilla

They just finally got rid of emissions testing here in WA last year, so no state inspection or smog check of any kind now. The one thing this state can get right... for now.

Certain counties don't require smog. I'm more in the city so smogging is required every other year. Depending on the year of the vehicle it's usually just an OBD plug in check with a gas cap seal test. The only thing I've known people to need inspections on is on something they actually made it(like a trailer my coworker made or if you had a classic vehicle that is being rebuilt). That has been my experience for the past 17yrs I've lived here. I never had a vehicle inspection when I lived in CA either, prior to moving to CO.

That was a county by county thing anyways. I've never had to emissions test or get an inspection in Whitman county.

F**king dealership fumbled hard and now I'm pissed they opened up the crate and realized they had the base model duke not the duke R. Was supposed to be picking it up on Saturday now its a no go. Wtf. I'm alittle heated right now.

Can't they tell by the VIN number on the manifest what model is coming in? This sucks and I don't blame you for being pissed.

I spent years working for a Harley dealership and while mistakes happen I don't think I can recall any as major as that one.

Sooo they gonna give you that one as a loaner bike until yours comes in? That's what I'd be fighting for. That does suck though, sorry man.

Not nearly as expensive but walked on the Grom we wanted due to garbage dealer and now ride over 100 miles to a different dealer over my Indian as well over incompetence. Doesn’t seem there are many worth going to. Sorry to hear about your misfortune my man. I hope it ends in you finding the best bike for you and soon. Good luck.

Don't know. But either way it's a hard fumble. I spent an hour on the phone yesterday with the insurance company getting insurance on a bike the dealer doesn't even have.

Great idea but from a dealer stand point pretty much impossible.

I just did a quick Cycle Trader search and there might be some in OH or RI from what I saw.

What can our friend hope for to salvage the deal? I would start by , calmly as possible, mentioning I've already started the process of insuring my new bike and now must call and stop that only to restart it later. I'd mention the frustration I'm feeling based 100% on someone on their staff dropping the ball and ask how they plan to salvage the deal. With an in demand unit they might not offer much. I'd ask for money off first and see what their offer is. Next I'd suggest a first service at no charge in light of the screw up. Possibly a gift card that I could use to purchase future items. Factory service manual?

My experience with most shops has been reasonably decent but mistakes do happen. You might be further ahead telling them they have a chance to make things right and save the deal.

My dealer “mechanics” are beyond incompetent. Don’t understand basic parts like passenger foot pegs let alone how their own bikes work. Not to mention left several major bolts hand loose after first service, to include the exhaust flange and rear brake… both I had to pull over on the side of the highway on the way home to fix and both weren’t even hand tight. Haven’t been back haha. Geniuses.

Picked up a used 2012 street bob and the front cylinder is knocking after 2 months.

Pretty sure I'm about to lose a boatload of money over a shitty HD.

Thats what I get I guess, should have stuck to Japanese stuff.
