Wait there isn't a part on the LCA that retains the cam bolts, they're bushing sleeves that should let the hardware float freely. I think what you're talking about is the Cam Tab Gussets. If your LCA hardware is adjustable at all then you don't need to replace the LCA or the hardware just the cam tab gussets. The gussets are replacable with aftermarket better stuff however it requires removing the cam hardware, grinding down the oem tabs to remove them then welding on new tabs like shown below.

If this is the case then you have no need to replace the lca's or hardware (unless it is seized).

    yes
That's kinda why I got confused when the dude pointed it out. The dude specifically pointed out
    upload_2022-5-18_10-9-31.jpg
where the passenger side was rusted and the driver side was fine. Said something along the lines of the rust prevented something from clamping all the way down.
FYI pic not mine, just an example of what he pointed out.

I just think he didn't know what the hell he was doing...
Here's a shot of the OEM LCA's with whiteline bushings pressed in. The only thing that goes on either side of the bushing is a big fender washer that is nether ribbed or toothed.

So I should just get new bushings, fender washers, and cam bolts? I assume all that is much cheaper than getting the whole LCA. Although it might be more work, lol.

I'd have to see it in person to see what's wrong. The nut and bolt on either side of each arm of the LCA should be what tightens down on the mounts so I'm not sure what's stopping that or if the mechanic just didn't know what he was doing. Take it somewhere for a second opinion or find someone nearby on here and might know what to look for.

Well, my original alignment place (pretty sure they screwed it up, cause there was some banging on some slow turns, changing from reverse to drive, going over small bumps at slow speeds etc. After these guys took a look (minus the rust) they just tightened it up and no more noise, lol. So I'm sure they know what they were doing. Pretty sure I was confused as to what he was saying, and maybe it was just that fender washer.
EDIT: Should also noted I went to the dealership through the ROKO guys so everyone there was super nice, lol

That's the cam hardware loose - I had that issue as well now I check the alignment hardware myself when I get it done. I'll just bring two wrenches (19mm I think I can't remember) with me and torque them down good.

@CttAznRanger If the dealership was what told you that you need to replace something I guess maybe they're right - I just can't imagine what they're talking about.

They said the LCA, lol. I'd rather have a second opinion (aka a seasoned TW member such as yourself)

Not sure when I'll be down that way next, my schedule is swamped right now then I'm gone for 2-3 weeks for a business trip. If you can wait until mid June I might be more available.

Cam tabs too fucked to salvage. TCs already in the mail.

I originally considered doing them prophylactically but never got around to it. Alas.

You got someone to weld them up and on your truck, or is that a solo job? It might be something I'm interested in too.

I don't have a welder right now (or even a place to plug in anything but the shittiest 110 unit) but it's not a difficult job. I'm having a guy local to me do it.

Boats are holes in the water into which you pour money.
They are also tons of fun when you can get the family involved.
    Congrats and enjoy.
