This would be nice. My truck is due early to mid July. Would Toyota realistically do a 0% sale? I wonder how long the July incentives would go for...? Take delivery but the end of the month?

No penalties. I had to finance with Toyota to get the $500 grad rebate. Minimum they let me finance was $5k so I did that, $5k on a credit card, and payed the rest with the money from my old car. It took a little over a week or so for me to be able to access the TFS account online, and then I paid that $5k. Only $18 interest and no penalty…worth it for the $500!

I originally ordered at Servco Waipahu, but I went to Servco Toyota Honolulu (Mapunapuna) and they had a huge drop of Tacoma's (May 6th, 2022) that were "inbound," and weren't called for yet. I wanted a 4x4 Off Road short bed, but I eventually settled my option down to a TRD Sport 2WD short bed instead.

Anyways, I went there and placed my name on a '22 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 2WD in Army Green, as the color was my first choice, since no one had put there name on it. I put my $500 dollar deposit down and I was told it was on boat on the way here to Oahu. They gave me a VIN and model number. I registered the VIN as soon as I got home that day on the Toyota app and it's been reading N/A on the odometer until May 13th. My odometer has 2 miles on it, but no tire pressure reading yet.

My salesperson has been telling me that it's on the island is going through PDI at Sand Island, or at the Honolulu VPC. I'm very optimistic that I might be getting my truck by the end of this week.

If you're curious to why I think so, take a look at this picture my father took while he was working at the Sand Island shipyard. He's a marine engineer so he see's all sorts of cars coming off boats, he happened to snatch a picture of all these Tacoma's at the pier this morning!

Got 4 miles on the odometer, little bit of fuel, and 38psi in the tires. Glad to finally see some activity.

@sdiver, I noticed this morning that Pauly has a couple of Tacos that are no longer in transit. I looked up their VINs on v-spec and status is now 'G'. Not sure if either of these is yours. Mine has not made it yet.

Debating getting on the 2023 list NOW for an allocation - I actually LIKE that Solar Octane, still trying to decide if I like it more than the lime...

Anyone know when the 2023 allocation list might open up?

Mine still has a status of 'F'...which is probably for the best considering I tested positive for COVID last night. I think the ultimate torture would be knowing it's there at the dealership, and I cannot go pick it up.

Oh man, that sucks. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you're over it quick. I'm about to leave for vacation so it is almost guaranteed my truck will show up when I'm gone. Salesman assured me they won't sell me out, but it will still suck.

I have my temporary vin # slated for June 6th build, without calling the dealership how do find out when the permanent vin # is assigned to Mt truck?

    Thank you

Your temp vin will stop working in vspec once your truck is built. After truck is built you can contact your dealer and get permanent vin and then enter that perm vin into vspec. I'm not sure how you'd get a perm vin without contacting dealer.

Yeah, super awesome. Ugh. It's probably for certain now that my truck will arrive between now and Saturday. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not really worried though, Pauly Toyota has been great, and not worried they will sell it out from under me. I'd be okay if it didn't arrive until early next week though when I'm out of quarantine.

Well, after plugging in my perm VIN I'm a bit confused. I think I was getting the technology package with my trim but that doesn't appear to be the case.

    https://guest.dealer.toyota.com/v-spec/3TYSZ5AN5NT072696/detail

I really wanted blind spot monitoring. Anyone got some advice LOL. This might have been lost in translation when I worked with my dealer and I don't think this could be a dealer installed option.

    I don't think it's a deal breaker but I'm kinda bummed.

Do you have a spec sheet from the dealer showing that your ordered truck had the tech package? If so and the truck doesn't have it you might be able to renegotiate price.
