It’s reliability has failed from just abuse and yes it has become unreliable any time something gets fixed it breaks again and again my truck gets very poor fuel mileage so a trip isn’t even worth it on cost because of that so I plan to sell it and start over with a different setup and also the ranger has been around since 2010ish? Just not here in the states and it’s been a good truck sorry I don’t run for Toyota every single time atm they hold nothing of interest to me so I’ll go look at a different brand

I technically have a second vehicle but she is needing work the trans went and it needs replaced but I’ve been pushing it off because it hasn’t been a main priority atm

 

..... you saying that this particular model/design of the Ranger? Cause the FMFR has been around a lot longer than 2010ish! Unless you don't consider 1983 a long time

My 4.88's are Nitro gears, no complaints here.

 

I went with 4.88 Motive for the rear. We'll see if that was a questionable decision later.

Front is going to be more of a hassle cost-wise and work-wise, so I haven't picked out gears yet. With the house going up on the market soon, the front regear is glaring angrily at me on my project list...

Yeah, I nabbed a Yukon kit for the rear Motive gears and the rear will definitely be cheaper because of it. The front is looking like ECGS will definitely be cheaper to do a mail off swap, I just can't front the core charge or wait a couple weeks for turnaround. Hence my constant searching for parts.

If I could nab a clamshell from a wrecking yard for cheap, it wouldn't be an issue. So if anybody has a lead on one, HMU

Base price is $90, so this would make it super cheap.

 

I liked them but I didn’t like the turning radius and the fact I can’t find one for less then 45 for the model I want the ranger I found is the model I want for 36
