I'm not totally sure, as we're now getting in to the actual biochemistry of muscle cells which isn't my specialty. It seems like the protein encoded by this gene is involved in oxidative metabolism and actual contraction of muscle fibers. Perhaps it's expression helps increase the contraction rate of muscle fibers. I don't really think it's involved in differentiation though.

I need to get on that one! About tired of the little adapter that threads on to your presta valves for those bead-seating adventures

I bought the fancy digital one and was extremely underwhelmed by the quality for the price so I sent it back. You can just use a regular shraeder inflator you unscrew the presta core. If the tires/wheels are that stubborn you will never get them seated with a core installed anyway.

oh i see, so it seems that the expression is the result of being in a fast twitch fiber, rather than "causing" the fiber to become a fast twitch fiber.

I live about an hour from a pretty nice place to ride called PC Park in Somerset, KY. The LBS has trail rides out there usually once a week in the summer. Super friendly atmosphere.

    https://pcparkky.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/2018-Trail-map-Signage-Display-1.jpg

Took the D6 out for it's first test ride last night and it rips! Need to do some adjusting on the drivetrain though, and just got my shock pump in today so I can adjust the suspension. I'm a decent sized person (6'3 215lbs) so I'm sure I'll have to come close to maxing out the pressure on the charts.

Could only do one of the upper trails yesterday though. I pulled up to the lower trailhead and unfortunately Search and Rescue were just about to conduct a search for a hiker that hadn't been heard from all day. I gave them space and went back up the hill. A few trails have some high consequence drops as they run along a cliffside and you have to stay focused. They were gone when my buddy went back later, so I'm hopeful it was a successful search and they were just lost!

I use the lock from 1up for the actual rack. Then a kryptonite cable lock on the bike to the rack. It's not perfect I am sure but the bike at least is really never out of my vision.,

I am going to be putting up my Rocky Mounts Driveshaft Track and Victory 4x4 Rear Tire Tray for sale and replacing it with a 1 Up roof rack to mount to the side of the bed rack. Just thought I’d give you guys the heads up in case any of you are interested. I’ll be posting it once the 1-Up arrives.

This setup has been great, but I want a better option for carrying the BMX bike and the 1 Up seems to fit the bill.

I’ll have to cut this down a little bit and weld it back together.

It’s about 4 inches too wide but the arc is perfect. I hope it doesn’t turn into a pair of bananas when I split it down the middle.

When is the last time you sat on one of these?

Nice. I've never made it down to PC Park. I'm up in the bluegrass region around lexington, so we have a few XC type trails around us. I've heard PC is really fun.
