Truck Camping Photo Thread

Appears to be almost an exact replica.. good find since the one I purchased seems to be out of stock almost everywhere.

 

My son was about one. My daughter was 8 months. Best thing if you have a baby... Use a real big tent and setup a pack and play in there. Good for naps and even bedtime. Anything like a RTT or back of the truck is not gonna be easy. Also, your wife has to like camping.

 

Walmart sells a cheap (but big and heavy) six or eight person quick setup tent great for kids.

We use our Gazelle tents (T3 and T4) these days. I don’t have kids but the nephews play in them and we have ours on the way haha.

 

If taking the baby, I’m thinking it may be good to set them up so that they don’t get smothered & suffocated when mom and dad are sleeping nearby. Also, avoid having scented products in the tent or on baby that may attract bears to the baby.

 

Not for everyone but I do love the desert in springtime.

Looks good you did a nice job. The wife entertained thoughts of buying one and tricking it out. Be careful insuring it, I understand
it's a bit tricky to get real insurance coverage when you do that.

 

First trip of the year, a bit windy but enjoyable. Also picked up the ignik fire can, this little thing puts out some heat!

The beer? I believe that one was a Dark Sky, or North Sky or something like that from Allagash Brewing
