    Do you off-road?

Probably wouldn’t matter a lot in the mall parking lot but, I’d be concerned of taking the shock out of the ride zone on internal bypass…where that point is in the shock I don’t know but it’s somewhere…

Yeah I do but I just installed them a couple days ago. Seems fine for now. I'll ride them until they break and get something else

Anyone else have issues with their shock top hat and bottom mount causing everything to squeak? In the dealership having them replaced as I type. They are attributing it to the spring upgrade. I'm suspicious, however.

I noticed a slight squeak on my drivers side. It was occurring between the bushing/nut/strut mount at the top of the shock. Few turns with a wrench it was gone.

Same side for me, but they're replacing the hat and mount. If it happens on the passenger side next, I might try your approach first so I'm not without my truck.

As a matter of follow up. I did go ahead with moving from 285/70/17 to 305/70/17 after the Eibach spring upgrade, the HS 3-leaf AAL, and a CMC. I also reshaped the fender liners, hammered my pinch welds, and took a grinder to metal at the rear side of the front wells just inside the fender trim.

I first had the tire shop do a fitment with 315/70/17 and they cleared fine but I could tell there were going to be issues off-road. I was ready to move down to 285/75/17 which are still a good inch larger in diameter than 285/70/17 but something about the upright looking stance and ratio bothered me when I saw them installed. I think I had been staring at my 285/70's for too many years which have a certain width to height ratio that just looks right. So....I went with the less conventional 305/70/17 size as the final selection and I like the look much better.

BEFORE (with springs and AAL already installed)

Looks great. I have my AAL sitting here waiting for the springs to arrive. I keep going back and forth from leaving it as is to adding the lift. My truck rides so nice as is currently.

haha, you went out and checked, didn't you? Mine isn't noisy in cab, but is fairly loud when I step up or down from my sliders. I can make it happen even by pushing on the sliders. Hoping they fix it - I'll keep you posted.

For sure something I could ordinarily do, but this was sounding like an old beater and they said it would be problematic down the road. Plus, I only have 2,500 miles on the thing.

Problematic down the road? Did they notice metal on metal wear? I find it odd mine are squeaking as I marked the top hats and they are oriented on the new springs exactly as they were on the stock springs.

Odd that when I rotate the nut on the top hat it spins the shaft and the shock but the squeaking stops for a bit.

I do not have many miles on the kit, but it is already pushing me to upgrade to kings and a leaf pack much earlier than I had anticipated.

Yah, it was worn down quite a bit and metal/metal (I was able to look at it). They said it shouldn’t happen again, which is intriguing considering they blamed it on the lift.

This is all I got from them. My knowledge is limited, but nothing here seems potentially catastrophic…
