And here I went with the slanted tank from iron man because I thought that flat one wouldn't fit. Damn you dipping into my pockets

I have the slanted Ironman also. I n Death Valley, with me and two kids for 4 days, used about half the tank and it was filled with 12 gallons not 13. 25 gallons is a lot of water. 200 pounds of water. I would hope that tank would have baffles. The nice thing about the Ironman tanks being narrow is it doesn’t allow as much movement (forward and backward at least) so you don’t feel it sloshing.

I've had it near completely full. The thin profile mixed with the large void in the middle makes for hardly any sloshing, if any at all. Nothing that I can even hear or feel. Only thing I had to do was add a breather into the fill cap to keep it from creating vacuum.

Great setup! Well thought out and executed. Do you happen to have a link of the industrial hands-free faucet?

I have a similar set up to @XPOTRPR using a 13gal thin upright tank. It's held in place by a big threaded rod running from a Victory 4X4 molle panel through the center hole of the tank to a 2' long bar of unistrut to snug it up tight. My ratchet straps kept loosening their hold on the tank so I gave up.

I wanted to have the water tank weight at the "center" of the truck rather than leveraged out past the rear axle. Makes me worry about hitting an icy patch of road and my rear end swinging around.

I also run the water hose to a Total Chaos bed stiffener (Perfect size to pass the hose and attach a hose tap).

I have a Joolca water heater and 12v pump to move the water through the line. My pump is attached after the hose tap at the bed stiffener.

Hey @XPOTRPR, what filter are you using? I have filter that I use to fill the tank at home, but I'd like to add one inline.

Sounds very similar and like a nice setup! Same reasoning as well.. wanted the weight low and center.

The filter is just an inline filter just prior to the pump. I think it's 50 micron IIRC.

Pretty much all it is.. lol. Just used a piece of plastic tubing pressed into the hole with a rubber vacuum cap on it.
