What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Here is my truck after I sprayed on Al's Bedliner, I did this myself for the first time, but I really like it.

Coated the frame with black undercoat and wired up rock lights. No more rust and I can see now. Once dark I will post a pic

 

Washed again. That lime rock mud gets everywhere. I even cleaned the engine bay.
Fresh coat of Turtle Wax Ice and she's good to go.

 

just finished installing my hella 500's and home made light bar.. no pics yet cause its dark out will get them soon though

 

Put on my temporary wheels and gave her a bath.

 

If you need to touch up the frame. I would use this.

 

Turned out really well. And for $8 lights that are sealed with heavy duty mounts. Cant beat it

 

Nice!, I have the same set-up. But there cheap walmart lights but work good.

 

Filled it up and went for a drive along the coastline with the wifee.

 

Put on my new vinyls from Sock and washed and waxed her!

 

I added a carbon fiber oval sheet behind the Toyota grill emblem. Carbon fiber is not the easiest stuff to cut. I tried using my Dremel with a small router bit with no luck. I ended up using a sheet metal hand nibbler, worked really well.
I had already added a piece of blue acrylic sheet behind the emblem so I used that as a pattern. I sort of liked the blue, I just felt the color did not work with the Magnetic Gray. Not a carbon fiber fan but I think the color works well.

Blue one I removed and used as a pattern.



I used clear silicone to hold it in place, I left a gap at the bottom for water to drain out.



I will have to take some better pictures with my camera.



I also added locks to the two storage box covers in the back.


I have enough carbon fiber to make several more if anyone in interested. You just need to silicone or JB Weld it in place.

done with the satoshi grille but there are some minor boo boo... when first cutting off to hollow the inside, the saw accidently chipped of a piece of the body ... not only that, but the 2011 grill was different from all the DIY or HOW TO's that were posted here... there were alot more gaps on the side.... i think i used the wrong putty.. anywho.. ill be posting pics up..

 

New brake pads and I now have a black plasti-dipped bumper. Goodbye chrome!

 

Obviously to late now, but you shoulda bought a cheap grill to mod and put the stock grill in a box
