Yeah, you should! That's a very nice area too. I think originally they referred to the general area as Spenceola (pronounced Spen-si-oh-la) Farms. On Google they call it Bel Air North. Likely monetary purposes. Which is good in the long run for you, just a hard hit on house prices because of it. I don't know if you saw the close up of that area on the south side, but there are dog parks there, and there's the historic Ma & Pa Trail right there.

I think you'd be happy here. I know good people who live in that area, and have forever.

Danke! It's over-paying by probably 10k-ish...but meh. It gets me a place to live in what seems like a nice area so let's see what we can do, yeah?

Ehh, it depends on your area. If you don't mind living out in the country taxes aren't too bad. There will be no public water or sewer out in rural areas of PA. Also living in an older house helps with taxes immensely. My 1/2 acre and 1200sqft house runs about $2200 yearly in taxes...

Well, the premium is just that in this case, and honestly, at this time in history, while not opportune, it is likely your best choice. I have lived in a lot of different places in my life. Military childhood, then just a rolling stone as a younger man, and then out on my own free of apron strings much earlier than the new generation.

There's a lot right there in that area without ever venturing into the town proper. Where you will find an abundance of anything. I drive down there for things. Hell, my Mom is in a nursing home in Bel Air. But there are things very near this location. Plenty of food shopping, clothes and house goods. Liquor stores, fast food, not so fast food. There's a gym you could jog to and back if you're a real health nut. My jogging days are long over. I can run uphill, and keep up with the dogs but just for short bursts.

And the commute will be fairly easy.

Me, I'd take US 1 to RTE 543 E to RTE 22 N or to I-95 N or to US 40 N - to Aberdeen. Should be about 30 minutes in bad traffic. But you have three options going that way depending on traffic.

Well, We're all over this area all the time. We patronize most of these places on a regular basis. They're all so close. On the way from my house I can hit Giant food for some ice cream on sale first, come out of there, go up the street a block to CVS for my diabetes meds, shoot right across the street to Rocks Liquors (formerly Ronnie's Liquors) , across from them to Rite Aid to pick up my Amazon order, sneak around the back of that to the Royal Farms (which by the way has the best damn friend chicken and western fries anywhere) and pick up an 8 pieces, family western fries and chicken tenders, THENNNNNNNNNNN shoot right over in the same parking lot practically to the Starbucks, for some espresso cold brew, and of course next door to Chipotles to get my Guac on, then drop off a blood test right at the minute clinick place.

On the way back home, laugh at all the chick-fill-ah minions in line and pick up fresh tighty whiteies at Kohls behind it, then, as I make the last turn onto my street, fresh produce on one corner, and a steamed crab place on the other.

So yea, we, I, kinda like Harford County a lot. I've hunted and fished a lot of the open areas of Maryland, and have lived and or worked in a lot of the areas in and around Baltimore City. My families immigrated to Maryland, and I am like a 3rd or 4th generation Marylander. I've also lived in other states. Or have visited some. I've also been out of this great country a few times.

I don't think, regardless of any of the downsides some people complain about living here, you'll be unhappy anywhere you wind up.

I grew up eating it with spiced ham instead of beef but yes. I still make it today. Only with smoked turkey, or more healthy ham versions. I love it. We love it. Plus I make a killer white gravy. That reminds me, I need more white pepper.
