    Past posts have suggested that it is to aid in the installation and removal because this type is heavier than the vacuum type.

    That looks like the computer at the dealer, but you can get parts from the Toyota.com / owners section.

    Cranes, storage, and lifting devices in factories are rather commonplace.


    Look at the control box at just about any lighted intersection. You'll see that the lifting points are still on the boxes for when they will eventually be removed.
