I went with driver and passenger from bullet proof fabricating.
    https://www.bpfabricating.com/colle...vy-duty-tacoma-recovery-tow-hook-drivers-side

And then keep d rings in a recovery box

Thanks guys! For the “Super Heavy” tow hooks bars. I went for the cosmetic looking ones. Hopefully will never need the heavy duty ones.

Since the first step on the road to recovery is admitting you have a problem, here they are. (In my defense, I do have a hitch with a real D-ring on it in my emergency bag for anything requiring a real pull.)

I think the issue is that going on record with TW that you like brightly painted shackles is the same as shouting about how much you love mopeds.

The truth is, Everyone loves mopeds.

...Its just that there are some things that you shouldn't admit out loud.

Well at least you know you have a real d ring set up for rear end, just be careful if you ever try to use the front ones
    One bolt seems super sketchy

Pose with pointless D-rings, or let everyone know you are a ready-to-charge hard mofo with your red rocket recovery point? I know which one I picked (And it's actually functional!).

D rings are useless unless you add in the frame bracket right?

A good bracket is useless unless you have a good D-ring?

...of course y'all wouldnt need either a bracket nor a ring if you learned to drive without getting stuck.

Get this and keep it in the truck. There are all kinds of things under the truck to hook to.

Strongly recommend legit (rated) made in USA shackles from a reputable supplier... Paint as desired. Example below:
CM Screw Pin Super Strong Anchor Shackle
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
WLL: 1/2 to 55 Tons Sizes: 3/16 to 2-1/2 in.

CM Super Strong Shackles are carbon-type shackles with strength ratings that are 17 to 50% stronger than comparable-sized carbon shackles.
As a result, these shackles are designed with a 6:1 design factor. Anchor shackles can be side loaded or used for multiple connections.

    • Manufactured from technically advanced micro alloy steel with optimal hardness for strength and ductility.
    • Shackles show major deformation before failure
    • Working load limit and traceability codes shown as permanent markings on body
    • All shackles have alloy quenched and tempered pins
    • Available in sizes 3/16" to 2-1/2"
    • Available finishes include powder coated, galvanized or self-colored
    • Shackles meet dimensional requirements and exceed performance requirements of RR-C-271
    • Special testing and certification is available upon request at the time of the order
