Took off the running boards, threw on N-Fab rock sliders.

I don’t have it tied I to the battery yet but I got my Overland Equipped AUX Power kit installed! Wanted to get this in before I started adding ditch lights and other accessories. I’m going to upgrade the battery terminals with KnuKonceptz before connecting the new fuse block. I have those ready but I’ll need to wait for this weekend to get those installed.

Nothing done to the Tacoma but purchased my wife a 4Runner. Now the Tacoma has an off roading buddy.

I've got these on my list too.... Someone explain to my fiancée that repainting the house can wait so I can snag these.

What do you guys think about these mounting to the body and not the frame? I like the look but I'm afraid one good shot might tweak the body. Or do the majority of sliders mount to the body? I'm picking the brains of my fellow TW members.

Real rock sliders are bolted or welded in the frames. Anything attached to the body are just running boards, steps, for looks and minor dings. So yes, it will not protect the body on one "good" shot.

The body-mounted sliders are OK if you're not crawling over big rocks. Otherwise, I'd consider something more like the Cali Raised sliders which are frame mounted. But there is a considerable price differential. At this point for me, anything is better than what I got now... which are no sliders. Although I did have frozen White Castles the other day.

This is my main reason for Nfab vs the others. The price for frame mounted is usually near $1,000. I don't do much heavy off-roading. I stick to basic trails and the National Forest land. Not really at a high risk for major impact, just need a little something for a bump guard.

I got ya. I'm in the same boat. Nothing too crazy for me. The Nfab are looking better and better.

I still wouldn't trust it with any kind of impact. Getting some real sliders will be much worth it if you do any wheeling...It only takes "one" hit. Just my .02

Installed this dual USB port in the back of the console so the kids will have a method to charge their devices. Here is a how to video. Super easy install. https://youtu.be/dVwWxehurtY

I did mine a few years ago and still haven't used it lol. But, it's there if I need it. I'm sure mine will get used more in my tundra though
