Problem is that she's dead set on the color of the island, and wants the cabinets to match that.

 

There's a reason I'm still enjoying the 1974 kitchen remodel in my house.

There's a famous car story of when Bill Mitchell was head of design at General Motors. He'd caught a shark on a fishing trip and had it mounted in his office. He had the design studio paint a Corvette prototype to resemble the blue fading to white of the shark. Not satisfied with the result he had them paint it multiple times and still wasn't happy with it. While he was away, the design studio took the shark from his office and painted it to match the car. Finally, Mitchell was pleased with the car!

 

Spent $80 to fill my tank on the cheapest gas I could find yesterday. 18 gallons for $4.44/gal at BJ's. That's my most expensive fill ever.

 

Need gas today. Cheapest gas I’ve seen is $4.49. That was this morning. I wonder what it will be this afternoon

 

I filled up at BJs yesterday evening...

Was $4.51/gallon, but since I have their credit card it was 10c less.

Still a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ though.

 

This is gonna be an expensive summer at the lake. Generally use 10 gallons per week in the boat and another 10 gallons per week in the jetski. I know, poor Keith, boo hoo, jetski, boat, lake..... chalk it up to the cost of vacationing I guess.

$4.24 up here at Costco.....wishfully thinking it might go down sometime soon but most likely not.

 

I'd take 4.24 at this point, paid 5.55 in Armonk on my way in to NY....absurd
