My JD has been on order for just over a month right now. I don't even want to admit what I paid for it. The entry level model was de-contented compared to my Mom's entry level from 10 years ago so I wanted to step up to a middle of the road one but the earliest I could get that was end of August. Dealer claimed the S240s were available 1-3 weeks, but we're at Week 5, sooo. This one has the Kwaka V-Twin that's supposed to be pretty awesome. My Honda push mower is starting to have some issues with the recoil starter I have to dig into.

I'm building the stone pad for my shed kit tomorrow so that's going to be a barrel of laughs. I found an excellent guiide online on how to set it up, so as long as I can keep working on it I should be okay. I've got the timber, the stone underlayment comes tomorrow and I've got four cubic yards of stone in my driveway. I'll rent a plate compactor Sunday once everything is down. Then I hope to bang out the shed Memorial Day week. I'm SUPER over-budget on it, but I got into my head about things. The kit came with a flooring setup that was all treated 2x4s. I decided to swap those for ground contact rated 2x6s at 12" on center. I'm sleighing on (4) 4x6s rather than (2) 4x4s. Overkill, sure, but it should hold everything without issue.

I need like three weeks of vacation off without anyone around, but that's unlikely to happen. I just hope I make it to my vacation without getting the 'vid, it's circulating my work. I haven't even had a chance to get my generator actually powered up to play with my panel interlock and I really want to get the QJ tested out. It's like Christmas over here, but I'm constantly away on a business trip.

Icky. I think some of those had interchange with the Scotts and Murray tractors, which could prove valuable to you since those are hard to find now. I went through hell getting another hydrostat transaxle for mine

I own a pair of slides. Only used to walk from house to pool and back.

My out of touch be-hind had to look up WTF these Slides are y’all are talking about.

    upload_2022-5-20_14-14-18.jpg

    Got it - thanks Google!

So…they’re what, sandals? I didn’t know those were called “Slides”. This is like when I discovered that song “Turn down for what”, wasn’t actually talking about turning down music (which I thought makes sense anyway).

Diffs and xfer case oil changed. Xmission pan dropped, strainer replaced, 5 quarts in. All new plugs and gaskets, they were a little rusty and chewy on the outside but threads all looked fine.

Only snapped one of the pan bolts and it was a corner boi. No leaks. First time it's been apart for ~240k miles. I'm not mad. Probably the last time it ever comes apart too.

Edit: Anyone ever use a tiny easy-out on something that size? IIRC M6?
