    Funny how that worked out. I didn’t really want this set, just the final 3 collector minifigures and the display for them that came with it but after building it I think it may be one of my favorites.

    It aids in the building process. You can more easily identify where a piece is placed when the colors oppose. Also part inventories available to the company might drive the color differences.

    That's kinda what I was thinking but I only noticed it on bigger builds recently, since I've only built the bigger builds (until a few years ago) when I was younger and they never had the odd colors
