Spring for the reigning defending national champs starts today.

Yea, but no one cares about the actual game because it’s baseball. Kiffin was the winner of that game.

Reigning, defending champs looked ok at G Day. The RBs should be better overall than last year. The TE room is absolutely stacked if everyone can stay healthy. Arik Gilbert got to play some snaps and can play WR or TE, assuming he makes it to the season. They were talking about how UGA could play a 14 offense - 1 RB and 4 TE - some this season with Gilbert, Delp, bowers and Washington.

The starting defense looked solid, but the 2nd team gives me a little bit of worry. Obviously not going to be generational on defense like last season, but I’m hoping they can stay top 5-7 defensively.
Overall, it’s a spring game and you can’t take too much from it, but damn it, it was good to see football back on TV and to see “National Champions” on the side of Sanford Stadium.

 

Even at his worst, he’s better than what we had. He’s also reunited with his QB Coach at OC now, I believe.

I’m ready to be hurt again

 

I hope he does well. I was hopeful for him between the hedges, but he couldn’t stay on the field he looked good against the inferior opponents but his numbers Vs ranked teams (i think he only started against 2) were just mediocre. I don’t know WVU’s schedule but I’d venture a bet that he’ll be fine against those defenses.

 

If the B12 is as horrid as it was last year, he should be fine. That said, WVU’s still in the middle of recovering from world class miserable recruiter Holgerson so who knows.

We could best Pitt next year as our only win and I’d be fine with it.

 

5 defensive players selected in the first round. Most players from one side of the ball on one team ever taken in the first round. And Nakobe didn’t even go yet. Pretty impressive. Green Bay added 2 Dawgs to their defense after taking Stokes last year.

 

15 players drafted from the 2022 Dawgs team, which breaks the record held by 2019 LSU and one of the OSU teams.

The Falcons finally grabbed one. First time in 11 years. But what’s so stupid is they took a LB when Nakobe and Tindall were both on the board.

Sanders said he won't take a private call from Saban. Said he "accused publicly, so I want a public conversation." I agree with him. Just because Saban is finally losing his edge, he thinks he can change the narrative... Especially when we know he's been paying players for years (hearsay... But still).
