Agreed, I don’t trust it at all, passenger side even worseA8DF6A54-E064-493D-98CC-699D48978C53.jpgI think my solution may be getting some heavy stock aluminum bar I can bend to the angle I need and bolt it to the frame below the body. My frame is reinforced in the front after fixing a bent frame rail, so could probably just tap a hole.

Any pictures you can share of your setup?

I looked in that area, figured I’d have to fab a mount for it to get it away from the power steering lines.

The biggest concern is keeping the hose as tight as possible to the IFS framing, I tested with the steering maxed out at full stuff and full droop, not a lot of room

I "tried" putting the resi above the UCA and was strongly suggested to move it ( @Digiratus and @drr ).

@drr actually came over and we strong armed the resi into a better place-ish.

Woot woot! Gotta give some love to the LCW haha!

Yeah, I looked to go above the coil bucket but the travel of the upper control arm left no room and the tire was rubbing the hose.

I looked to go under the frame rail as was suggested in the Fox mounting instructions but my bumper offers no coverage.

Only place I could settle on was inside the frame above the skid as Reh5108 said or in the location betterbuckleup used.

I think the location it’s in now is the best compromise of access to get to the adjusters and offering decent protection, just gotta use a better mounting point than the fender apron.

I didn’t feel like the hose angle would allow to go above the skid, I fussed with it and remember seeing some issues, that’s why I was hoping for a pic from Reh5108

Why not just get new resi hoses made to fix the shitty setup that fox sends them with.

Went against everything ive preached about and threw some leds in the stock housings. To my surprise, cut off is the same as the halogens and theres no glare.

I tried that same location as well. Would be a nice spot to tuck them away, but yea I ran into clearance issues with the hose there as well. Between the tire at full lock and stuff iirc

The location you picked works best for my application, just need a more solid mounting point. If the inner fenders are already cracked before I even mounted them I think it’ll mangle them if I leave them there long

I thought of that, there’s a hydraulic hose supplier in Everett WA about 1/2 hour from my house who’ll make you a hose while you wait, but you still gotta refill the shock oil and recharge the nitrogen.

I have a bottle of nitrogen and a fill valve, just don’t want to spend the money or time

Here's mine. The zip ties were meant to be temporary but are still there and keeping them rather secure. Planning on burning or bolting on an actual mount at some point. Idk what Fox is thinking with there resi bracket location. Leaves it super vulnerable to damage. I do rub the hose ever so slightly at full lock but not enough that it's wearing into the hose. Hope to correct that with the brackets whenever I get to it. Another pro to skinny tires. I think I flipped the power steering bracket and bent the line to not interfere with anything. 20220519_162246.jpg

New lower arms, extended travel cv axels, and outer tie rods just installed. Already did shocks, leaf springs, UCAs, body mounts, steering rack bushings so the chassis is super bomber now.

    Now everything is new new

I might go down a size on my next set of tires since I can’t find 295/75/16 mud terrains. If I were to go up to 315’s or 285/75/17’s I’d do what squeakypenguin suggested and lengthen the lines and relocate where you have them mounted.

I don’t think there’s any way possible to not rub the lines with my tires in that spot. I do like that they’re protected behind the skid

Got the new steering rack hooked back up and torqued down last night. Just need to clean out some gunk from the reservoir and burp the air out of the system. Good call on the air hammer guys, that adapter wasn't coming off with hand tools alone.

Took me about 3 hours to remove the old steering rack, 30 minutes to transfer over the intermediate joint, and about 2 hours to reconnect everything. I work slow, but for me it's about 6 hours of work.

compared to the stock halogens against the garage door, its got the exact same amount of scatter. The beam pattern is the exact same as halogens, which thoroughly surprised me.

With halogens there was a decent bit of scatter above the cut off, that may be because im using rockauto housing and not oem but idk.
