I had one of those teeny tiniest of slivers today and didn't notice until I had left the shop. I have tweezers in my toolbox in the shop but not in my office desk. Then I remembered seeing someone get One out with dial calipers. It worked. Bad photo but bottom jaw....

 

Something else I probably don’t need but have always wanted.

 

Insurance man called me, he ask for some pictures of the inside corner. He said that will determine if it is totaled or not

Yeah, something odd.....but the all knowing internet of things, Jeep forums say buy nothing but factory oem, that these cheap copies might only last a month or three...
I didn't get a factory oem for $450.00 but this one going in was near $400.00 with tax and shipping.
If this one blows out....

I replaced radiator cap with last radiator and now I have another new one....
That radiator shouldn't see more than 18 psi if the cap is working....right

 

That seems high, or am I just thinking about older stuff?

 

There was one of those little backhoe parked near the steps this morning as I was walking up to our offices. I thought at the moment, that would be kind of cool to have....but what would I dig with it?...a moat around my house perhaps?...fill it with alligators?....or a big foxhole....

Used to have pressure range on caps, dunno if they do anymore

 

18 is factory oem cap, and the one I just bought.

 

May be why it keeps blowing radiators

 

Maybe I should try a 13-15 lb ?
But the beauty of a 18 pounder....your gonna find the next weakest link...
Probably why I blew a seal...in the pump...
Maybe this time I'll get the heater core!

Ever have a heater core actually blow?
Always happens in the winter naturally and sticky, stinky fog blows out of the defroster vents.

Coats windshield and dashboard + with nasty slimy antifreeze. Awful experience.

 

I did on two trucks. A 1986 F-250 and a 1988 Toyota pickup. Had to take most of the dash out of the Toyota to get to it

 

That is a very good price for a new AC unit and New Furnace Installed!!
