Nice, never had any luck that small but you should still try. I have gorilla hands and can't mess with smalls like that.
If it doesn't work set a self tapper in there. Might be too ghetto...

The stub is still in the xmission. Broke off right at the surface.

I ordered some 7/64 cobalt bits and a set of extractors from a reputable maker. Gonna give it a try. If that one comes out, I'm gonna replace them all with stainless flange heads. If it doesn't or is a mondo pain in the ass, they can stay right where they are and I'll buy a new transmission in 240k more miles.

I like that. My idea would be if you try the easy out and it doesn't work you will have a little pilot hole to put the self Tapper in. At least then there's a mechanical connection.
But start lubing it everyday hopefully it will creep in there to help loosen it up. I like Kroil and keep some in a little spray bottle

I broke one of my IFS skid plate bolts (the smaller ones, M8 I think it is) off last weekend while taking the armor off. I haven't gone in to try and remove the broken end yet, but I sprayed in with penetrating oil and I'm planning to attack it with a bit of heat, a left-handed drill bit, and an extractor. Fun times...

It actually snapped on the way back IN, so at least it's moved recently. But yeah, we'll see how it goes.

Went to start a side job in Wakefield, super nice house... on the outside. Heard they were waiting for the framing inspection so we couldn't start yet. Sparky(electrician) said he didn't think it would pass. I agreed. I don't know how people can be such hacks and stay employed.
@DoubleRGirl, be glad you didn't get this contractor!

Tried something new today, re-gripped my golf clubs. The set is old and looking ratty, bought the kit online and took a little over an hour to pull off. I’m happy with how they turned out

I’ve tried the search function, to no avail. I have RCI full skids and my exhaust rubs. I used hose clamps on the exhaust hanger to lift it out of the way - but the hose clamp s breaking if I do more than 200 miles in a trip. Tired of it. Can anyone recommend a local shop (north of boston’ish) for an exhaust reroute? I am looking for someone that has done it before, and not someone I have to explain what I want! Part two of my rant…anyone local that can do a clean cab mount chop? Again looking for someone that has actual experience - thanks all! PS - ideally if d like to be able to retain most of the fender liner and retain my after market flaps. Pic for attention. DB470868-AEE9-41CD-8875-733E0F619DD3.jpg

WTF! Who framed that place. They have no idea what they are doing. That place is going to be a disaster with settling and cracked drywall, windows that won’t open, etc. The place has sprinklers? How big is it?

Is it similar to wrapping road bike bar tape?

Back in about 2010-2012 any new construction needed fire suppression in NH at least. It lasted 2-5 years and then went away. Some places might have lingering laws and codes for it.

Never wrapped road bike grips but I’m going to say it’s very different. You clean the shafts ‘giggity’, apply double sided tape, use a solvent to loosen the glue, then slide on the grip. The solvent evaporates and the grips are stuck.

Cheap Aquanet hairspray is great for doing grips. Lets you slide on the grip and then dries and holds them

Pardon my ignorance, what’s wrong with these photos? Not challenging it, just know nothing about framing so I wouldn’t even know what’s wrong. My knowledge is limited to bottom plate, 16” on center, double top plate. I always like to learn new things.

I don't know much about framing, but it looks like someone had scrap wood they needed to find a purpose for.
