Each set is up a size. So he has to replace stocks with 33s then when he wears those out it’s dirty 5 time

Oh there will be some mods all right
That.... is actually a cool concept. Things would get pretty gnarly after a while.

I wish I had that kind of patience. I put 33s on it a week after owning my Tacoma. Now I just have a truck that doesn't know which dang gear it wants to be in when i'm driving on I-94 :annoyed:

    The pain is real.

I do have a set of very lightly used Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar P265/65R17 tires if anyone is looking.

The problem with 35s is that you pretty much have to regear at that point. 33 is really The Sweet spot on tacomas and 4Runners because they give you just a little bit more flotation and clearance without requiring a regear

    Hey all,

Only took me a little over year in and 20+ open tabs of TW to finally sign up and find my tribe. Bought my '17 Taco up in Weyauwega in March of '21 only to bring her to Milwaukee (I know, boo).

In all honesty I researched and dreamed about this truck for about two years after stumbling on LLOD's channel on YT.

Got married and was expecting our little one not long after. That gave me a swift kick in the derriere to pull the trigger or forever chase that dream. Settled for a higher mileage SR5 but I got it done and haven't looked back.

Looking forward to any advice and future meetups. Currently running close to stock but want to mod forsure. 1st owner ordered a lot of decent options from the factory so it isn't all bad. Wife's birthday is June 8th unfortunately but there's always next time. PXL_20220424_022559387~2.jpg Probably 1 of 4 Quicksands I've seen driving around the city.

And yes I can confirm I have a job so excuse the sporadic replies :D

3g auto needs a regear on 33s too.. it could use a regear on the factory tires lol

Well, they come with these granny gears. The 4Runner is totally fine on 33s, and really not bad on the 295 mud tires. But, anything beyond that is really pushing it. To be fully honest, if I were towing a lot on the 295s, I would want to be regeared for sure.

    Welcome to the chaos, j/k

That's the way it always starts sporadic posts then before you know it there's money missing from your paycheck and the truck has something new that you just had to have and the excuses fly how you really needed it because it makes the truck so much better.

Good luck we always have fun here

:rofl:Currently have two tabs open trying to decide between Baja Squadrons or Diode Dynamics SS3's. Best excuse off the top is we had a little fog today.

Mmmmmmmmm ... I'd say maybe 3rd or 4th best. But, still, great color! :):fistbump:

If you're looking at fogs, the Diode Dynamics SS3 seems to be the consistent winner.

I'd go with Diode. I'm currently running the Baja SAE fogs and they're really not that bright. @CygnusX191 's 1 working SS3 had way more light output than my 2 Bajas. I'm gonna get the SS3s for fogs and use the Bajas for ditch lights
