    Hey guys we put up a thread like this on AZT4WDA (Arizona Toyota 4WD Association) and it's worked out pretty sweet. Basically if you know you're going to head out within a few hours, days, or something that's not a 'planned wheeling trip' throw it on here. Never know someone might want to join you :D

    To start it off:
    I'm going to head over to Government Camp area today (not sure on how the weather is but if nothing else the drive will be nice). If anyone wants to join hit me up with a PM or call 480.239.7950. I'm going to stop and get some grub at Chang's Mongolian Grill first so I won't be leaving for at least an hour or two anyway. Sorry for the really short notice

    dunes would be fun...although I don't have a quad or bike...just got back to oregon from socal. I'd have to hit up my bro or other relatives. lol

    I'm just going to use my truck lol... I dunno yet we have the run next weekend up here then maybe the weekend after? Depends what's going on with work and other stuff... I'll post up when I get a better idea.

    I'm in Coos Bay...not too far south.

    I'm wondering where to go too...I know places like Blue ridge and stuff, but I'm in a prerunner and haven't set up my recovery setup yet, so I don't wanna get myself stuck up a creek without a boat...

    Yeah, you need a wheelin buddy.

    I know that there's still a lot of snow higher up but this past July I went from grants pass to gold beach through the mountains all on forest service roads. It was pretty cool. If you get down to gold beach, theres access to a lot of stuff via a road on the south side of the rogue river. Look for Jerry's Flat Rd. Follows the river and goes way back in, eventually you'd run into snow this time of year but that road will take you all the way to I-5.

    Sweet! Yeah, I def need a wheelin buddy. I'm waiting to go lookin til I get my lift and front bumper setup. Then I won't be totally screwed, even with a buddy.

    I used to wheel my stock 08 PreRunner all the time with just an AP skid and some BFG AT's out in the desert. Just gotta be smart about it and always have a buddy, and know your limitations :D. Always good to make sure your buddy has a 4x4 too :D

    Thanks man, I always found it useful :D

    Also just an update today I did head out... though way to late. I didn't really do much cause I chickened out lol. I found a decent little maze of maintained trails/roads whatever you wanna call it. Though further down it got kinda icy and I wasn't about to go alone with rugged fails and one truck haha. Still a beautiful drive around Hood if nothing else. These were off hwy 26 at road/trailhead/notsure what it is 2651.

    I can never remeber if those signs are BLM or Forest Service. I think it's BLM, because Forest Service would be green and say NF2651.

    BLM roads are better too, if memory serves when a sign faces you it means the road goes somewhere, if it's parallel to you it means it's a dead end. Or was it the other way? lol going to have to try it out. NFsign placement is fairly random
