Has anyone put ceramic tint on their sunroof to reduce heat and sunlight? I am thinking about it, but concerned the extra heat could crack the glass.

Ok. I was thinking of 30 to 50 on the tinting side.

I know little about ceramic tint. My used 2020 has tint, (no sunroof) but not sure what type it is. Just curious as to why ceramic tint might crack the glass?

With regular tent it blocks light coming through and some heat with the ceramic coat it blocks more heat. That heat is reflected back up or out and in doing so it seems like it would heat the glass more so than regular tent. So my concern was it heating the glass and cracking it.

You could always just close the slider and block out all the sun when you don't want it shining in

I’ve got the clear ceramic on my windshield in Florida and it has been fine, it sits outside all day so I think you’d be okay on the sunroof too.

I got 0% on the rear windows, 5% on the front windows & sunroof, no issues here.

I heard the sunroof cracking due to tint has to do with the the tint shrinking and contracting. I’ve seen a few pics of shattered huge sunroofs, but it’s really unknown why.

I tinted the sunroof on my car more than 20 years ago and it's still fine today.

During the day when the truck is out in the sun I keep the sunshade open just a little bit for the hot air to escape. But when going home it seems like no matter which way I go, the sun is always shining on me with a top open and I’d prefer to darken it up a little bit. Plus if I flip the back of the sunroof open I still have to keep the sunshade closed like 3/4 of the way.
Not sure what to do about the black helicopters may have to think of some type of anti-aircraft device next.
