    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
Keep at it. The LCA cam bolts, sleeves and bushings on these things are crazy once they lock up. Spent quite a few nights under the Supra cutting them out when I was replacing bushings.

Not my taste, but nice job keeping the build thread updated. Great details and pics, I'll be following along for closure.

I was able to hack the rear crossmember today with the diff still in the truck. Just suspended it with a ratchet strap and helped stabilize with a jack. I’ve already done the gears in this truck and I’d do anything under the sun to avoid having to press that big basterd from underneath the truck again. Also swooped myself some carbide tooth saw all blades the other day to hack the lower control arms off, bought one that was a little longer (9” Diablo blade from Home Depot) to get through the left sided cut on the rear crossmember. Worked like a champ.

Also got the front n rear crossmembers in the truck. Wasn’t able to get the diff fully mounted but it’s resting in the crossmembers now. I’ll get some pics of that stuff tomorrow though.

Also ordered some mevotech upper control arms to go with the mevotech lower control arms I ordered. RockAuto’s shippings gona have me out till the 26th though before receiving them. But… only $450 for what I believe are supposed to lowkey be spc control arms??? We’ll see..

1st pic: just kind of a backside of the rear xmember

2nd pic: shows how the front diff xmember cradles the diff on both the driver n passenger side

3rd pic: shows how diff mounts on the drivers side rear xmember.

4th pic: shows how the diff mounts atop the provided arm that connects the front and rear xmember. For some reason the holes aren’t lining up all that great though so I’m gona have to use a pry bar to get them to seat correctly I think?

5th pic: The factory front xmember differential mounts… had to remove these guys— however, rough country doesn’t include this in the installation guide?? I haven’t called them to confirm.. but it wasn’t goin on without taking them on so.. but would have been nice to know beforehand because if I didn’t have the ratchet strap to help keep the diff suspended ida had to monkey somethin together to keep everything in place while I took em off. And we don’t need a hundred some odd pounds of steel hitting the ground lol.

thus far I’m probly only 6-7 hrs between 3-4 days of messing with it. But all n all the installs been pretty simple aside from those bitc$@ss lower control arms lol

Glad to know I'm not the only one who stacks tires under the truck as an emergency anti-squish device lol

It’s not the worst idea I’ve ever had lol. I was once underneath a powerstroke of mine and was jacking it up to take the tire off and the jack barely got the tire off the ground before it took a dump and the truck fell to the ground. It was a harbor freight jack, but ever since then I’ve been leary

I wheel with a guy with the same lift and it's pretty awesome. And it rides just like any other lifted truck.

I hope that’s a good thing lol. I mean if it was sarcasm that’s cool too but it’d be nice if it rode a little better than the bilsteins set at max lift height. It cornered great but rode like a 5 ton unloaded army truck.

I do plan on doing something different for coilovers down the road though. That’ll be when I’m outta school making better money though.

It’s got a fresh diff case with 5.29s in it. The truck does have a little rust but nothing serious. If ya drive a little ways up the road we got the coast where I grew up but that’s a couple hours away. But rust isn’t a problem out here in southern oregon

You need a rope ladder bolted to the outboard seat mounts to kick out the driver's side door when you roll up somewhere.

    Fuck haters.

Y’all think it would be a bad idea to throw my 1/2” top plate spacers over the rough country struts?

Yes, it'll throw off your CV angles and cause some problems later on.
