I found a water proof gear container with a snap lid. It is clear so I can see my connections. We all know the connectors are the weakest link. I'll be able to see if I have issues right away.

 

The smoke and the red things flying out of the exhaust may be two different problems....something crawl up into the motor?

 

With the 3205 waiting on parts the mousehouse 3225 is being pressed into brushhog duty.

Finished up probably 2 acres after starting it on Sunday. Weird having sheetmetal on a tractor. The 3225 did well but I like the suspension seat on the 3205 better. Much smoother.

 

Finished up the enclosure for the winch solinoid and controller.

Just replaced the switch, battery, pto switch, and seat switch. still same symptoms. next up is the voltage regulator, clutch sensor, and the hour meter I reckon. electrical gremlins suck.

All those things replaced after replacing the battery didn't work?

 

Nope. She’s still doing the same thing with all the new stuff. I actually couldn’t get it shut off by standing up which isn’t new but it makes it harder to troubleshoot.

 

I've been watching a new pair of Kenda Bear Claws drop in price on FB. Picked them up for $100 today and just mounted them on my 3205 rims to replace the hard and tractionless Sedonas

 

About 5 hours tractor time today. 3-1/2 mowing and the rest clearing brush with the old Ford with the snow blade.
This is the top of the trail after I cut a giant amount of brush that blocked it.
Long ago I could drive a truck down this path without touching, over the last 15 years it shrank to just the mower.



There is a bank to the right, the old Ford shoved all the crap away. It is steeper than it looks.



Midway there is this clearing.
The trail continues on straight across.



This section hadn't been touched in about 15 years, pretty nice now.



And... I was stopped for the day. Saplings too thick to push over and the log is still way too solid to push -- it is only a 50 year old garden tractor after all. The trail goes further on and so will I on another day.



I used a gallon of water, the New Holland used almost 1/2 a quart of oil, the old Ford (K series Kohler) surprisingly used none.

 

So I get back to the house after all my labor and find the yard foreman (Daisy) sleeping in the sunbeam... Bosses!

She is always around "helping" me.
Six pounds of fearless, afraid of nothing including the mower. She stalks deer and turkey.
Many years ago she chased and treed a small bear in the front yard, she sounded like a chainsaw chasing it.
She is 13-14 now, slowing down a little - still does just what she wants though.
