jesus christ I just gave my truck one hell of an Italian tune up by accident. Was leaving the self car wash and threw my floor mat in, didn't see it had caught the gas pedal. Turned on the truck and wam, instant 5800 RPM...scared the shit out of me lol. Probably held it for a few seconds before I yanked the key out

On the plus side it didn't misfire or toss any codes or blow the fuck up so that's cool

 

Your fine. I shift out at 5K all the time. lol

Yeah I've redlined passing people on the highway before but never when starting the truck up lol.

Weird

 

I think I've set an Icon milestone for most miles on their rear shocks without them blowing up or leaking. Probably have 45k on them now. Usually you don't hear of Icons going that long

I think my clutch probably took the worst of it considering I had it pressed in when that happened lol. There goes a year or two off it

In high-school after I flooded my truck the starter obviously got sticky and obviously the other shop kids would talk shit as I would get out to hit the starter with a hammer so I would turn the key a shit ton till the starter worked than redlline it for 30 seconds once it started than neutral drop it for good measure
