So I went out to Walmart to grab car washing supplies earlier this month since I didn't actually have any at home. Picked up your normal bucket, microfiber towels, sponge... but I bought the chemical guys "extreme bodywash + wax w/ color brightening technology" and to be honest, it worked really well! And it smells heavenly. I also picked up some Meguiar's wax (its what my Dad has always used and taught me to use) and applied to post-wash. Could've gone without the Meguiar's but I wanted to do it anyways. A week later the pollen returned. But it's all good.

I'd love to reduce internal temps with tint, especially with little ones on board. It's like a fucking furnace in there during the summer and it's awful.

I bet, getting it cooler inside is a great thing, especially for younger kids.
I didn’t mind the wax but I didn’t like having to do it every 3-6. I wanted to apply something then only need regular washes and a drying agent, in use the turtle wax stuff. Supposedly the stuff on now is a 24 month or so product. Maybe by then I’ll save up for someone to do paint corrections and a true ceramic coating.

This is Llumar AIR on a 16' Lex es300h. It's 100% light transmission. The windshield is large and very horizontal. Besides cutting down on the temps, the bigger benefit is at night. Zero glare! It's Debs car and if she's out at night I feel better knowing it. Especially in the rain.

    20160731_141841.jpg

Here it is compared to the 30% side. (* the haze is from installation process until I could clean it)

    20160731_141827.jpg

This is mid day, mid summer. (Pro tip - get your tint done in July or August if possible. The cure is quicker and usually looks better)

    20170605_010011.jpg

It was way overpriced but I knew when we got this we'd have it a while. It only has like 50k. Gets almost 50mpgs on longer trips.

Does the tint give you the 50 mpg's? If so, where do I sign up? 12/13 mpg's is killing me, but I'm used to it.

:rofl::rofl: no. Hypermiling in a 4cyl hybrid does though. Avg is 40ish +/-.

Deb wants a 4R though so that will all go to shit. :annoyed:

I've always liked being able to use things more than just once so what about something like this that you can attach to the truck as well.

Yea, we had a 2016. MGM Trail (it was called then).

    20150926_113901.jpg

Oh, and that's a 2014 (I can't remember) Toyota Camry XLE. The seats were never comfortable enough for me. 2 years later we were in the Lex.

You're braver than I am. The most offroading I've done is the lane you seen going past my property to the neighbors 167 acres to deliver packages that the FedEx guys seems to drop off at my house instead. Pretty rough pavement :spy:
