    Man, looking at this again now that I'm not out and about, that's pretty perfect. Unless you have hydro bumps and know exactly where full bump is and you take the time to break the pack down and totally cycle the suspension, it's always best to err on the side of caution. I believe it's better to rob yourself of a fraction of an inch of droop and have the peace of mind of not worrying about ever bottoming out your shocks.

    Thanks for the pics, stuffs up pretty good! Further proof the Archive Shock Relocation kits give you the droop but keeps ALL the bump travel. Not so common with other setups

    Just to follow-up a little bit more, wanted to say that Eric was great to work with while I was putting together this system. There were many PM's sent over several months that were always responded to within a day, usually within a couple hours. The other thing is Eric's knowledge of the Tacoma and the various aftermarket shocks available. It was easy to coordinate between Archive and ADS to order the various parts from each vendor. Everything went together pretty smoothly without any surprises, which was nice since this was my first time doing anything like this. Archive customer service is top notch.

    I could not be happier with this set up, such an improvement. My first trip out with the ext rear was this weekend and I have to say I'm super impressed. if you're on the fence go for it these things are amazing. The amount of flex and control are greatly increased. For the price, quality of the parts and the install time, it's hard to beat what this set up can do. My rear end feels more planted on and off road. It's just an overall great kit.

    For reference --
    I have the hammer hangers with HC cross tube, a generic U Bolt flip kit, OME Dakar Heavy Duty springs, 17x9 with -25 offset and 35s. This combo flexes so much that with my set up the inner tire will make contact with the shock body while flexing. I will need spacers for the rear. It has been discussed before, I'm just agreeing with it and sharing my experience.

    The pics were taken on a test rock mid way through the trail ride aired down to 16psi.

    Here you can see where its just starting to contact the shock body and I still have a little more to go on the bump stop. With the right bump stop set up, brake lines and wheel spacers, there is way more flex. A little over 5 inches of rod showing on the shock. This is where thinner tires or more aggressive offsets will help with the up travel.

    These next 2 pics are to give an idea of the axle in relation to the truck. The pics are a little misleading because I have my fenders cut up super high. With stock fenders the tire would be making contact.

    It may just be the caked on mud that's rubbing and not the actual tire. First time I flexed it I had mud smears on the shock but it was super muddy and the tires were caked with mud. Last couple times out it has been dry and I havent noticed any rub marks, so you may want to wait until you can flex it in dry conditions to be sure the tire itself is rubbing.

    Thanks for the heads up, but ya they are rubbing. Once the mud was removed you can see the spots on the shock body.

    Hey y’all quick question and forgive me if it’s already been asked. Trying to determine what angle to set the lower shock mounts at. I’lol be running standard king 12” shocks with resi, Deaver stage 3 leaf pack, BAMF hangers and Timbren bump stops. Depending on how it sits when I get the leafs on, I may throw a 1” block under the leafs. Anyone with a similar setup able to chime in? Thanks y’all!!

    I've had Eric's hangers with 3.6" shackles, shock relocation towers and crossbar in my garage since February. Excellent customer service and I'm thankful for the time he spent on the phone with me to get sorted out. I'm finally at the point where I can buy the rest of my setup and looking for a little refresher. I read through this whole thread prior to posting and still looking for some advice.

    My truck is a LB with ~300 lb constant weight with more on the weekends. I'm mostly looking for go-fast stability and not having to think about bumps, and less crawling/obstacles. I originally intended to do a triple-bypass, but after reading through, I am leaning smoothies and SOA because of the added weight and spring availability. Deavers and Dobinsons seems to be highly regarded here, so I'm thinking the mid-weight Dobinsons to save some coin (L59-111-R). I found it interesting that they have an SB and LB rating (600 and 220 lb), something I haven't seen on other spring manufacturers. They seem to be comparable to the Stage II Deavers for SB, but only 220 lb rating in the LB. Anyone know why, or if that logic could be applied to other manufacturer ratings for long beds? I mostly care about bump travel and I haven't seen a comparison between these two springs (only a comment that Dobinsons can have about 6-7" bump), so I thought I'd ask for feedback.

    Still deciding on smoothies, I was thinking about 14" with a shorter rod end. I don't particularly mind the axle tabs being lower and from the sounds of it, if they're burned in correctly you don't sacrifice any bump travel from the 3" longer shock bodies. Stuck with Fox, since that's what I ordered for coilovers.
